We had dinner here on our last night of our trip and it was perfect. My fiancé had the steak that was on the specials menu and I had shrimp. Both were delicious and good portions. We had the fried pickles to share but you can also get them as a side with your meal and I’ve never seen them offered as a side before. My fiancé is a super picky eater but he had a hard time deciding on sides with his meal because there were so many great options. Usually, he orders two sides of fries with his steaks because he doesn’t like anything else. He had hush puppies and chips and I had a salad and loaded fries. My two toddlers split a chicken tender kids meal which was huge. The staff were so kind even after we managed to spill not one but two drinks ?♀️. My mom embarrassment level was through the roof and they all came to the rescue. We ordered 1 dessert to share and another to take home. We could have honestly eaten them both there because it was some of the best chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten. Service was quick but not pressured and, after a quick stroll in the boat yard, we made it back to our hotel in time to watch the sunset. Wish we had discovered this place earlier in the week. I went to the restroom when the check came and my fiancé literally just does some quick math and signs the check. He couldn’t remember how much the meal was so I logged into his online banking quick and tried to figure out how it was so cheap. I was worried they forgot to charge us for something. Just a great meal at a fair price. Would love to go back someday.

We had a party of 8, were seated immediately. Our waitress was very pleasant and our appetizers and dinner arrived quickly. Everyone in our party said their food was delicious. Will definitely come again.

Food was hot and fresh. We ordered chicken tenders, a burger, and a club sandwich. All of it was amazing. Service was great too. Only issue was the water, it tasted salty and was barely drinkable.

This trip across Albemarle Sound for lunch w guests was VERY disappointing. Granted it was Sunday afternoon, a busy time, but one of our 5 orders came out 20+ minutes AFTER the rest of our orders and it was an exact duplicate. In other words, we'd ordered 2 burgers w cole slaw and one arrived with our other 3 orders and the 2nd arrived after the 4 of us had finished eating. We've eaten here several times and has been great. And the marina folks have a real can-do approach. Either somebody (waitress or kitchen) screwed up OR discrimination?

Five of us went to The Landing At Mackeys for a Sunday lunch via the water. Lunch and the boat ride were to be the highlight of the day. The trip on the water was excellent, not so much for lunch. It took a long time to be seated despite a number of empty tables. Once seated we placed our orders with the waitress, simple sandwiches/hamburgers, two of which were identical. After a long wait only four of the five meals arrived. We brought this to the attention of the waitress. When everyone who received, a meal had finished eating, the final hamburger arrived. An apology was offered but no explanation. As to the “rare and medium rare” hamburgers, they were anything but “rare and medium rare.” What is the point of going out to eat together if you can’t eat at the same time while? I would think very hard about going to The Landing At Mackeys on a Sunday. I am not sure I would. As to Mackeys Marina and yard per se that Joe runs/owns, this is an excellent place with folk there with a “can do” and caring attitude and approach to the business of boats of all kind. I have gone there before and will be back again.
Parking: We came in my boat and found a slip with no problem
We had a huge party, they were short on waitresses, my tacos came cold, not Luke warm,...cold!Not the waitresses fault at all, tasted ok, ill try it again n differently something different.

Had big sandwich with lettuce, tomato, bacon, ham, turkey and mayo! Are half and took half home . It comes with one side( had French fries). Delicious!

Our Sunday go to! Wonderful seafood and Hamburgers etc. Creek that flows to the sound. A treat to boaters and a gem to the locals and visitors. Indoor and outdoor eating.
