Awesome spot to grab dinner. Friendly staff, good prices, and darn good food.

We had appetizers of hush puppies, calamari, and fried green beans. All were good.

Dinner was soft shell crabs, clam strips, chicken wings, fried shrimp, mushroom burger, and shrimp burger. Everything was good and the portions were plentiful.

Danielle did a great job keeping our drinks up and making sure we had everything we needed.

Talk about a welcome surprise. The Landings at Mackeys far exceeded my expectations. You will not be disappointed in the menu and quality of food. Will certainly return. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. You can even get here by boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Food was amazing! But that waitress with the name of Ballory is absolutely rude! Don't get her as your waitress!

Food was good, service was excellent and polite. If passing through or staying nearby I would go here as many other choices are further away from Roper. The staff said come back at 7 for karaoke it's a fun time. We weren't able to but it was a nice gesture. It's hidden away off the main roadway but too far of needing something not fast food nearby in Plymouth or driving to Edenton.

Great lunch for 4 on a Saturday afternoon. Fast friendly service, Valerie, thank you again. Philly cheesesteak was on the special board. Fish of the day was flounder, one plate and one sandwich. Fried pickles appetizer. Crab cake sandwich. Various sides. Although nothing stands out as absolutely memorable, food was proper temperature, seasoned well, tasty. 4 empty plates. All in all worth the drive. Stunningly beautiful location, various boats in and out of the water and a boat launch sharing the restaurant and marina parking lot. We will stop when along that way again.

Some negative reviews here, hard to believe same place I visited. Good customer service starts with being a good customer.

My family and I had a very disappointing experience here. Things started out fine until our food came out and everything was either just warm or cold. We ordered fried shrimp and it was clearly not fried long enough. It also seemed as though the food had been sitting as it was not hot at all. My husband didn’t finish his food for the same reasons. We let the waitress know and she completely ignored us about the fried shrimp and then said my husbands was cold because he wasn’t at the table when the food came out. What??? Who does that? That is poor customer service. We also ordered food for our son which wasn’t brought out until way later. If she would’ve checked on us or even come by to clear the table, we would’ve asked her about it. When it finally came out we were practically getting ready to leave. The waitress brought it to the table and before we could even explain to her how it made no sense for her to bring it to the table, she snatched it back off the table and told us it came out late because we ordered it separately. We did not!!! We ordered everything at the same time, and she later admitted to putting it in after she had already submitted the other orders. The food was not good at all, however, had she offered to have the food remade, it still would’ve been a bit of a better experience. We complained about the crab cake we ordered being cold and after pleading our case, she brought out a new one .. only for the middle of it to be cold! What in the world?? We tried talking to her about our experience which was a complete waste of time. We asked for a manager, and conveniently - she claimed to be the manager. We let her know that something should be done about the cold food and she asked what we’d like her to do. At that point, we said she needed to comp us for the cold food we didn’t even eat! She said she couldn’t do that and took off the $9 appetizer and a crab cake. Really?! I won’t even go in to how nasty her attitude was throughout the whole thing. Not once were we rude to her! Another employee came to us and apologized for everything if that tells you anything! How is it that a regular employee shows better service than the manager?? A mess. There are tons of restaurants to go to, people do not have to support your business! If people choose to come to your restaurant, the least that can be done is practice good customer service. I’m sad for the owner, as I would hate to know I have an employee driving customers away.
