This is a fantastic Cuban restaurant. Worth the drive from Winston or Charlotte. The food is bursting with remarkable flavors! Service is great, very attentive and helpful with menu choices.

Odd place. The food is good by NC standards but if you’re Hispanic you’ll understand it’s lacking. Also the place was mostly empty and the some of the staff acted bothered or overwhelmed by a large party. Policy is policy but customer service is largely lacking. The woman in charge made a comment to other guests apologizing for the large party “meandering” around. Very unprofessional. Coming from the service industry everyone has bad nights, so maybe post holidays people were just off. Who knows. Sarah was a 10/10 though!

Every time my wife and I come to Salisbury we dine at Mambo Grill. The experience, food and our hostess Gisselle C. are worth more than five stars.
On 22 Nov @ 17:37 we arrived for dinner. We ordered two Chicken Hemingway and for desert the Coconut Flan. Both entrees were very delicious. But our hostess recommended what is called Mariquitas. An appetizer we have never tried. It was the talk on our table with Gisselle C as she recommended the dish.
Two thumbs up for our hostess and the same to the restaurant for taking the time with us and making sure our experience is always positive and worth of a great review. Gisselle, you are the best!

We had the most delicious meal here. We were looking to eat somewhere different than our usual, so we decided to eat here! We got the Vaca Frita and Pollo A La Nata. Both are so good! The Vaca Frita steak was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, cooked to perfection. The Pollo A La Nata chicken was delicious, and the creamy bacon sauce was so so good! We were dipping everything in it! The Patatas a lo pobre potatoes were so good and crisped to perfection. Everything we had was off the charts, we will mostly definitely be back!

We are trying to step away from the same old mundane run of the mill resturants in town. Last night we found Mambo Grill & Tapas. It was FANTASTIC! I got the Wild caught Atlantic Salmon with a lemon butter caper sauce. Soooo mmmmm good!

Never again. I am all about supporting local businesses, however the anarchy we received was unmatched. When you visit an establishment for an enjoyable dinner with family, your expectations will be surely be disregarded and any concerned will fall upon deaf ears. They do not care about your concerns. The food was okay, but the service was awful, hints to this post. When we received our bill, there was a 20% gratuity added without prior notice. We should have been afforded notice before the bill, the menu should reflect a fair price or we should have been told when we asked for a table of 6. If youre worth 50% , it's my choice to give that to you. Almost 45.00 tip on a table of 6 with poor service. I went to speak to the manager and as she clapped my face saying she was sorry, she said we were notified on the bill. I asked to have it removed explaining our service, and the manager/owner (i believe) said she would not, she has to take care of her workers. Though I applaud her taking care of her people, I feel this definitely created a lower service quality. I explained to her that if the service was worth the 45.00 for 6 ppl, I wouldn't mind. She refused. Im pretty sure by law, you have to come forth with any information such as 20%, before the receipt. Portions were small for the price, the menu had no price, service had to be asked for appropriate food and drink refills ( which we didn't get) no one gave any notice of 20%. I will never return. We have rights!!

We had a party if 5 on a Friday night. I only got the yucca fries. We split 4 empanadas. They both were awesome. We asked about ordering drinks. Our waiter said to “hang tight “ and walked away. We realized it was too busy to order drinks. Included are pictures of how busy it was.
