floor, and then blamed me (so loudly the bar is staring at me) . she was standing there with the pot talking. when she realized the coffee had spilled on the floor, she had the audacity to blame me, even though she was still holding the coffee pot in her hand, and it was still spilling on the floor. i avoided spilling because when I poured the coffee I made sure not to pour any on the floor, turning red switch ioff and on real quick to avoid that situation, but she went out of her way to spill the coffee and then blame it on me and kept getting loud about it to where embarrassing me and my friends that I haven't seen over a year. If this Bartender is so miserable, I suggest finding another job because no one deserves to be treated that way, especially when it was her fault.. I walked out of here. I don't think I'm ever gonna walk back, especially if this person is working..rude , unnecessary, unprofessional, and extremely childish behavior. Sorry I didn't wanna wait an hour for my friends coffee. I would suggest this place to either hire enough staff so this person isn't front facing with customers or have a real sit down with this person.

went here last night with old friends after eating next door. ordered a drink and a coffee. when I ordered the coffee, she made a big deal and said "I have to make a new pot I guess".hoping i would change my order, I kind of shrugged my shoulders and let the uncomfortable silence pass as the coffee was for an old friend. Was going to go here but the reviews are very biased, lack accountability, and seem artificially boosted by friends in the community to make the establishment look genuine. If you can’t handle honest and fair criticism, then there’s no need to run a business. The customers who’ve shared their problems were met with passive aggressiveness. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

Cool atmosphere. Lots of nooks & crannies for small groups both inside and outside. Lots of unique art on display and for sale. Engaging events keep us coming back. Prices are very reasonable.

Dietary restrictions: We purchased our beverages from Shug's.
They were cool with us bringing our food inside.

Best bar in town!! Amazing cocktails, beer, wine selection & service. The kitchen isn’t open anymore but they often have great food trucks out back & there’s lots of great local options you can carry out from. They support local musical and creative artist in the community and beyond. Shug’s will always be a favorite and the #1 recommendation to those wanting to discover the true heart of Salisbury.

It pains me to leave a 1 star review for this place but I feel I’m left with no other choice and don’t know of any other option to get the owners attention to resolve a misunderstanding. I’ll get to the reasoning for the 1 star in a second but , first I want to say that I have no issue with the food, the drinks, or even the service or atmosphere. This is an exceptional place that is fun to attend and has a great atmosphere. That being said I have to leave the 1 star because I was banned from this place due to a misunderstanding. I’ll explain why I was banned as I was told and as a buddy of mine told me who talked to the owner on the night I was asked to leave. Before that night I was sent a private message by the owner who used to be friends with me on Facebook. She was explaining something in a vague way about me causing problems with people or something of that sort. First of all, I’ve never caused problems for anyone and have always minded my own business. I responded to the message explaining I had no idea what she was talking about and I’ve never done anything to anyone in any sort of way and asked if I could get an explanation.I never heard back so I didn’t think anything of it. After that probably a month later I went in to get some food to go as I wanted to try one of the specials they had. When I arrived I sat at the bar and was having small talk with another customer. The bartender said something about how the owner talked to me. I explained I received a message and was unsure what she meant. The bartender then got quiet so I left after a few awkward moments. I got home and messaged the owner through Facebook asking what was going on and what I needed to do to resolve it. I received no reply. Flash forward about a year or so later, I am with one of my buddies and he was wondering where a good place to go was. I suggested this place as it was always a favorite of mine. We went there, and immediately told I needed to leave. I asked why, and the owner said something about me bothering people online or something. Which is not true at all, I tried to explain that I had no idea what she was talking about and that what she was saying I supposedly did was not true and she got mad and told me to leave. I respected her wishes and left. I was then told by my buddy that apparently the reason the owner and I guess an employee said was because I bully people online and have multiple Facebook accounts or something. Something that is not true at all and something I’ve never done. What apparently has happened is either one person or multiple people who apparently want to cause problems have somehow convinced her of this. Which is ridiculous because I’ve never bothered anyone, I’ve always been respectful and I always kept to myself when I was in her establishment and anywhere else in town. I have no idea why anyone would lie to her and convince her of ridiculous stuff like this, but I’ve never bothered anyone , harassed anyone or done any of the things I was accused me of. Im not going to accuse her of lying about me because she genuinely believes what she was told . However it’s not true, and it does upset and bother me that there are people out there who would go around and make up stories about someone who doesn’t bother anyone to a point that they are banned from one of their favorite establishments. All I want is to get this resolved and get the ban lifted. Like I said I genuinely do like this place and I recommend it to people and I want the owner to do well. I don’t have anything against her or anyone else. And I will happily change the 1 star into a 4 star review as soon as the ban is lifted and I am allowed back. And if I’ve done anything that would give the owner an impression of negativity on me in any way I truly do apologize. However , I haven’t done what I was accused of and I do not think it is fair to ban someone based on a false accusation. I look forward to getting this ban lifted and this issue resolved .
