I want to make a huge shout out to my waitress. I wish I knew her name and im hoping this reaches her. She had dark brown hair and worked and waited on us last night at about 9:30. She was so kind and really made us feel very welcomed with it being our first time in North Carolina. And to the gentlemen who wanted to give my daughter 20$ for Christmas she bought a bluey vtech phone today. I hope this reaches both of you guys so you guys both know much i appreciated the kindness from you both. Ya'll made our first time in NC memorable. Thank you both truly!

Great staffI’ve been to the Waffle House on Innes St twice recently, and the difference between the visits was shocking. Yesterday, the service was great — friendly staff, good energy, and overall a welcoming experience. Today was the complete opposite.
From the moment we sat down, the staff was talking loudly — and I do mean very loudly — about someone having an abortion. This was in front of families with children who are old enough to understand and ask questions. It was completely inappropriate for the workplace.
On top of that, the service was terrible. After 30 minutes of waiting (my GPS shows the time), we were only brought part of the order — the meat — while the waffles were just being started and the steak had only just been put on the grill. Food was sitting out while employees were more focused on gossiping about customers and tips.
Instead of asking why we got up to leave, one employee just kept yelling, “Do you want the OJ?” three times across the room. The lack of professionalism was embarrassing.
What makes this worse is knowing the staff yesterday provided great service and made the experience welcoming without doing anything extra beyond their jobs. Unfortunately, today’s crew made it clear they didn’t care about the customers or the quality of service.
I don't want to leave a star rating at all because its not fair to the staff that kept it professional now matter what their job is

Ate there on Tuesday August 19. Food good. Service was terrible. New waitress that doesn’t even try. Doesn’t bus the tables or clean the floor. My party of three didn’t receive drinks til after food. She acted like she hated us and was inconvenienced by being there. Won’t return if she’s the new standard.Freezing cold in restaurant.

Walked out. Couldn't get waited on. Lady standing right beside me on her phone. Then she mumbled someone will be with you in a minute and walked to the back.
Waffle houses are normally spot on. Not this one.
