Wow! Best authentic food we’ve had in our years of living in NC. Carnitas were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The sopes, pastor and chorizo, were absolutely delicious! Our server was polite and cheerful and everso accommodating. This will be worth the 50min drive to return, many times!!!
Hidden in a small plaza off the main streets in Sanford is this little Mexican Restaurant. My husband and I were unsure what to expect but so glad we gave it a try. It’s very clean, kind staff and all the food was delicious. We especially loved that the tacos were served crisp with slight softness and not in a mushy, sticky microwaved or foil wrapped manner. The food is amazing, more authentic than any other ‘Mexican’ restaurant. They have soups on the weekends like caldo de res and pozole which are amazing! Highly recommend! It is a hole in the wall and not like a regular restaurant, kinda small but again, service and food are worth it!
