This hole in the wall is great for cocktails, and offers food as an added gig, but, it has no kitchen. All food is microwaved. I guess the food is made in a central kitchen nearby and transported to the bar? Kind of disappointed. I ordered the shrimp and grits, not knowing that it was going to be microwaved. Totally enjoyed ourselves at Libations 139 for Chef Ham's Destination Travel Brunch Series. A group of us that totaled 7-9 visited during the European Tour, Caribbean and Korean cuisine. We tried EVERYTHING on the menu, TWICE. We were served a delicious shrimp & grits, kimchee fried rice, pork belly sandwich, chicken & waffles and a wonderful mocktail or cocktail for those who love spirits. I went to brunch there a few weeks ago and totally enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the bartender and chef very friendly. I sat counter side and watched the woman chef cook my eggs fresh in a sizzling cast iron skillet using a convection oven. I thought that was pretty ingenious.I returned this past Sunday and enjoyed the fish and grits with my fish being cooked fresh the same way. Hearing the sizzle of that cast iron made my heart smile.
