None of the Chinese takeout places in Sanford are anything to rave about but this one is the best.

The food is always great but customer service is terrible. They clearly have a racial issue. I came last week with a friend. The lady at the register spoke to the Caucasian customers. She never spoke to us. My friend literally spoke to her twice and nothing. When the Caucasian customers left, she told them to have a nice day. When we left ...nothing.

The food was good so I ordered over the phone and asked my fiance to pick up the order. I didn't tell him about the experience last week. He went to pick up the order. He came back telling me how rude the lady at the register was. He asked for no ice because he was bringing the tea 40 minutes up the road. I live in a different county and could've ordered HERE! I WANTED Star House. He said when he asked for no ice she aggressively threw the ice out. When he went to pour the drinks he said she came up to him and watched standing beside him trying to see how much he was getting. He said she never spoke to him. Never asked how she could help or anything.

I CAN SPEND MY MONEY ANYWHERE. THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME SPENDING MONEY HERE AND IT WAS ALSO THE LAST. Your customers keep this place running and without us, you'd have to close!

I asked for my General Tso's to be super spicy and boy did they deliver!! Egg rolls have a decent amount of meat and were great! Lo mein had plenty of veggies in it. The bourbon chicken is great as well. I can't comment on their seafood boils but the asian/chinese food is great! Portions are quite generous for what you pay. The dinner meal is easily 2 meals for me. At one point they wouldn't allow you to sub lo mein for rice with the combos even if you offered to pay extra but now they do which awesome. That was a deal breaker for me previously but now I'm very happy to dine here again! Well done Star House!

Let’s start with I LOVE SEAFOOD! I took time to try both this spot and the newer one in town to make an equally fair review I had the same thing at both house seasoning with mild spice (a seafood boil w/ shrimp, snow crab, and sausage both restaurants serve corn and potatoes w the boils as standard)

Pros: Great packaging included all the necessary utensils gloves; napkins etc, Family style dining seating inside small but efficient. Food: The boil was served hot and fresh maintaining temp on my drive home. The crab was cooked perfect and standard market size. The shrimp was fresh and the sausage was great! Loved the house sauce great pair with the seafood very flavorful and filling also had nice staff.

Cons: Slightly salty (I don’t mind especially given I also got sausage but I’ve had less salty boils); No clarified butter for dipping.

Neutral: Price was standard for the area as well as my selection. Wait time was normal

Overall: I really enjoyed my boil the freshness, quality, flavor and price all worked in unison. I do prefer the more local vibe inside offering a quieter environment to eat if I wanted to eat at the location vs home. Ultimately I would definitely recommend this place for quick, quality,delicious food and service.

I dont know about the service, cashier seemed very annoyed. Paid for a lemonade and had to argue with her to get it when my food came. Food was fresh and filling. A little to much sauce for my liking.

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Everything we ordered was so good, and you can really tell care goes into the dishes. The service was just as amazing: friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Such a great experience overall. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The food is good but the seafood is not fresh. Ordered hibachi shrimp and chicken lo mein. The shrimp tasted like ammonia. I get it food costs have gone up but please when using seafood make sure its fresh or if its not just tell us you are out of said type of seafood so it doesn't turn your clientele away. Id appreciate that alot more than paying for spoiled meat.

AMAZING. The food was top notch. We got a weekend special seafood boil. The customer service was super amazing. When my son knocked his drink onto the whole table, they moved us to a completely different one and were so gracious about it. Wish we had this in the north.

Greedy with their white sauce. Im pretty sure they are using store bought also. I think the hibachi chicken may have been the worst ive tried also. I would not recommend this place if you like hibachi. I really sad excuse for
