Tyson foods in Sanford, North Carolina was awesome to me as a truck driver delivering to that facility. The two guards in the guard shack were very polite and extremely helpful to me and my needs. my appointment was for 8 AM and I got there five hours early at 3:15 AM., they immediately assigned me a door and the yard jockey was also very polite and helpful as well. after unhooking from my trailer and parking across from it, they had my trailer offloaded by 6 AM. Great experience and I would definitely deliver to this facility in the future. Everyone at that facility was very polite and helpful. Great job Tyson foods in Sanford, North Carolina.
Iāll start off by saying that I was wrongfully terminated from this plant due poor communication skills by Shelby and Mrs. Paddie in HR. I requested leave on August 5th due to me having a child coming soon on the 21st, I spoke with my supervisor regarding the upcoming situation he advised me to speak with Shelby as far as calling Sedgwick and filling a claim for leave. I did so the same day spoke with Mrs Debbie and got my confirmation code from her regarding my leave for a child. My wife ended up going to hospital on the 6th I left early from work and my supervisor said that I was good to go. I was out from work for 13 days and returned on the 19th just to be pulled to side and be informed that I was terminated because I accumulated too many points. I was astonished by how this could even happen because I was on leave, they had me give my things up and get my tools and told me to come back in the morning to speak with Mrs. Paddie about my termination. When I spoke with her she informed me that my leave had got denied due to the fact that I havenāt been with the company long enough. I asked why I was only now being told this and not the day of the denial only be giving the same answer and again with a smart remark as to what she wouldāve did if in my position. As I was leaving to get the rest of my belongings I spoke with Steve pertaining the situation for him to tell me ā we canāt have people miss work then everyone hereās going to want to do itā which Tim decided to chime and agree with him saying āyou have to do the right thingā . I would say to anyone trying to work in this facility that the management is poor and lacks integrity and communication skills I will be filling a lawsuit against the company for being wrongfully terminated.
