Iconic spot in the NC mountains. We've been eating there since the first year they opened, and still love it. Less intimate than it used to be, and much harder to get a reservation, but we still love it.
The setting of the restaurant is gorgeous and the overall ambience is so inviting. Our party of 4 enjoyed our appetizers, entrées and desserts! We found the menu choices creative, yet very palatable. It is an open-air dining experience, but the vibe is cozy. We hope to return next season.
Had my birthday dinner at Canyon Kitchen, they gave us a beautiful table outside and it was just perfect! Our server Anke made fantastic recommendations. Highlights were the burrata appetizer, the pork osso bucco and the collared greens. At the end they surprised me with some homespun vanilla ice cream and prosecco. I felt so special, the food was fantastic and the location is divine.
