Amazing experience! We made a reservation for a small (15 person) wedding reception lunch. They took great care of us and seated us away from anyone so we could really enjoy our time together. Service and food was great. The atmosphere is also amazing, the place is super cute and full of fun decorations!

Pleasantly surprised to walk in for our first time to find such a cute and fun decor. Staff was very welcoming. Cocktail and glass of wine both fresh and well-made. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Great menu choices, but Dinner was OK. Braised lamb shank flavorful but obviously a couple days old and warmed up, the Cordon Bleu had a wonderful presentation, but was so plain tasting. The kitchen is trying, but definitely needs to step it up a notch with its recipes to compete with the better restaurants of Cashiers.

Beautiful atmosphere but unfortunately awful food for the price. The $18 salad that was supposed to have quinoa, chickpeas, and lentils was a pile of lettuce with a small sprinkle of quinoa. Pretty sure the fries were frozen. Lovely setting but absolutely not worth the price.

The service here is excellent. They have a new chef, and the menu has changed completely in the last few months. Shannon was a wonderful server: friendly and efficient. We went in on an off-season afternoon for a very early dinner, hungry from hiking all day. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer, which was very good and cooked perfectly. Hubby ordered the sea bas and loved it. I was torn between the duck confit and squid ink linguine, and seriously wish I had chosen the linguini, but unfortunately, I chose wrongly. The duck was dried and overcooked, and tasted old. Such a disappointment, as our server said it was supposed to be really good. The 4 stars is because everything else was very good. Recommend this place but skip the duck.

We had the flaming cheese, scallops, and shrimp appetizers. All were incredible. For entrees, I had the trout, my friend had the sea bass - both were delicious. Service was attentive and informative on the unique menu and wonderful drink offerings.

We drove from our cabin past highlands where we usually go for our anniversary dinner. Saw great reviews and Mediterranean which we love so decided to give a try. Was disappointed with the old decor and furniture. I don't understand why they say it's Mediterranean. They have hummus and baba ganoush for appetizers but that's all I could tell. Expected nicer place. Food was fine but overpriced. Salad with toasted quinoa which I never tasted was $18- no protein! We ordered 2 desserts and thankfully, our sweet server deducted one for our anniversary because the crème brûlée was $15 and the one we paid $17 for was a tiny lava cake with a scoop of ice cream. $17! Wow! It really was tiny. Hubby's steak had good flavor but not worth $44. My Trout was good but asparagus was really tiny and only a few pieces. The rolls were the ones I've bought at store- frozen sister shuberts. They were not warm. Our server - I wish I could remember her name- was very sweet and attentive. Thank goodness for that! We did go early and the restaurant had one other couple, because we aren't that familiar with cashiers, nc and there isn't much to do in winter there. Highlands offers a lot more. We own a cabin in GA very close to NC line and takes us about 25 min to drive to highlands and another 20 from there to cashiers. We really had high hopes and wanted to branch out. I truly expected more based on reviews. Still had a nice evening but wouldn't go back.

Hidden Valley recently changed their menu. I was a real fan of their previous menu, but am not to thrilled with the current menu. We went for lunch with some of my family. I ordered the Mediterranean Flatbread and thought it was missing something to make it great. The previous version had artichoke hearts and was much more flavorful. My husband, however, got the Fusilli pasta in pesto sauce and thought it was pretty good and not as salty as his previous favorite (pasta with mushrooms). The service was great. Alison and her team took great care of us. We will have to go back and check out the dinner menu.

This was our 3rd or 4th time to Hidden Valley and we've finally decided that it's just not worth the trip any more. The food was mediocre (my sea bass was decent but fairly bland and my wife's chicken was very tasteless)...the final bill was about $100 which would be fine for a better meal but definitely overpriced here. For the same amount, I will always chose The Orchard in the future and even the Ugly Dog which isn't as fancy but has excellent food with flavor. On a positive note, the decor is very nice. Just not worth it though imo.

This was our first dinner experience after one previous lunch. We had a party of eight and everyone enjoyed their meal. We frequently dine at The Orchard and Library Kitchen and Bar. I won't attempt to compare the three in this space. I will simply say we will go back and make dinning here a part of our Cashiers dining rotation.

Since changing the menu, this restaurant is not what it used to be. The food is primarily Turkish inspired; however, both dishes we ordered lacked the vibrant flavor that was expected. The service was quick and extremely helpful, so no issues there. The only issue that arose was the actual food that was served. Unless there is a massive menu overhaul, we will not be back.

Dined here with family. We were looking forward to good food, only to be let down. First off, the menu was nothing like the one posted online. Very limited.. I was told by server the 14oz lamb shank was the special for $36. When it arrived I was I shocked at the measly bone-in shank placed before me. It was bland and so was the bean mash. Feeling sorry for me my Aunt shared some of her pork chop which was very over cooked and tough. Overall aesthetics of the place were far superior to the quality of the food and menu offerings.

The ambiance is beautiful but the food is extremely overpriced for what you get. They charged $20 for a kids plain burger. The "filet" had no flavor and was so small it was like going to a chain steak place - it was like 1/2 inch thick and small. The "sea bass" had bones and all of the potatoes were cold. It came out so fast. The cocktails were not even really cold unless they had ice in them. So disappointing.

Good food and nice live music. Very good selection of wine options as well. The deck is cozy with a fireplace. Nice addition to the area.

This is our first time coming back to Hidden Valley since the new chef joined the team! Everything was absolutely wonderful on the new menu! The food was fresh, light, and so delicious! Seth and our server were absolutely fantastic - excellent recommendations! Highly recommend saving room for the crème brûlée to finish your meal! Not to mention the amazing Christmas decorations all over the restaurant!

Took my family there for a special occasion. Was disappointed and embarrassed. So many better restaurants in the area.
