My husband and I dropped in and had dinner at the bar last night! Everything from the custom cocktails to the sushi, elk steak and most of all service was exceptional! It’s our new favorite! Thank you to Michael at the bar and the rest of the staff for making dinner out what it should be!

Had their food at a wedding they catered. Excellent quality and absolutely delicious. Thank you!

Chef Johannes catered a significant part of my wedding this past weekend, and I can’t express enough how the culinary team went above and beyond! The food and presentation were fantastic, and I received countless compliments. One guest even said, “I’ve been to many weddings, and this was the best food I’ve ever had at one!” Thank you, Chef Johannes and Liz, for making our day truly special!

Would like to give 3.5*, but don’t think this quite deserves 3*. A pretty restaurant, but serious work needs to be done on some of the entrees. The chicken and the short ribs were both incredibly dry. The grouper was much better, but at $55 was also pretty underwhelming. Service was excellent and the drinks we had were good, but even for a vacation town, the prices for what quality you get are hard to justify returning.

What a wonderful dining experience. The food was amazing and it’s quite evident that the extremely talented Chef and Co-Founder Johannes Klapdohr pours his soul into his creative culinary masterpieces. The service and bar teams are also very accommodating, friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful experience at The Library over Labor Day weekend. The vibe is so fresh and fun with the owners fun artwork on all the walls. The apps, drinks and entrees were all wonderful.

We started with a couple of vodka beverages. Our table ordered the corn bread and pimento cheese appetizers, which were delicious.

I ordered the short ribs, and my husband ordered the steak that was on special. He said it was the best steak he's ever had. My sis in law ordered the steak frites, and I wanted to eat all of her frites - so yummy! My short ribs were fine - it was a bit of a departure for me - but the mac and cheese stole the show for me.

Our server, Sydney, was precious and very knowledgeable. My sis in law owns a house in Sapphire, and this is very favorite spot. I can understand why!

We have enjoyed meals at The Library for over 25 years. Our most recent experience last night was perfect! We celebrated our anniversary with dinner. First, Liz as always greeted us with her beautiful smile and personality! She escorted us to our table which they had set up with a rose and petals. Our server Marina was a delight! Very sweet, accommodating and attentive. We had the caprese salad…the freshest sweetest tomatoes, Burrata cheese and basalmic pearls! Wow! They also had a unique special…elk. It was delicious….perfectly prepared and perfect accompaniments!

There is a reason why I always choose this place to celebrate. Whether it is an anniversary or a new family member, a promotion or another birthday... The Library has always solidified that moment in a beaming light of positivity and love. Every staff member, every guest, every glass of wine, and extravagant plate is frozen in time for me to remember fondly in the everlasting warmth of this incredible restaurant. Their wonderfully attentive bartender, who is always a highlight of the evening and the infinitely passionate sous chefs who are willing to go the extra mile every time for every guest, make this place the best show in town. No smile goes unappreciated. No worry goes unnoticed. I barely have to ask once, let alone ever consider asking twice... I love this place and all its people. Matthew was incredibly kind and had an exceptional memory his drinks were perfect and absolutely hit the spot. This is a place where any person can go a pauper and leave feeling like a prince. Thank you for everything.

I had the ribeye, and my wife had the sea bass. Both were fantastic. The vegetable sides were unique and complemented well. Our waiter was knowledgeable and checked on us often. This was great choice for our anniversary dinner.

Giving 5 stars despite the poor experience with the red headed clown bartender on our way out. The only thing worse than gauge earrings is a clown that takes them out to put on his leather apron for the man. This clown said he could not give us plastic cups with our drinks “in good conscience” to walk to the concert next door. If he had any consciousness he would have just said the outdoor concert has a bar. This restaurant only survived because it was the only bar in a dry county, now the food is very good and experience great except for the clown bartender.

Excellent evening sitting at the bar. Mat is an awesome bartender, his drinks are excellent and service professional and friendly.
The food is absolutely amazing, everything we ordered was excellent.
Chef Johannes and his brigade make food that is extraordinary.
Will be back for sure! ?

2024- Killed it again. Still a must have unbelievable all the eats. Service was slow, and it was not busy.
2023- Good food, great service. Go here every year.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The food and service are excellent and. The owners are always there and you can tell. Liz is amazing and so is Johannes. His dishes are unique and he’s always coming up with something innovative. I highly recommend this restaurant.
