Excellent food and excellent service. Menu has a good variety of items on it. Only complaint is they do all their steaks "Pittsbugh" style which I do not like.
Excellent food and service! Warning: if you use the map option to get there, it will send you to the old location!
This is one of my favorites in this area! Lucca Salmon is fabulous! Their Pizza, both here and at one of their other locations "Marias" is also a big winner. Wonderful wine list, great atmosphere. Two people, two full meals, with a NICE bottle of wine, UNDER $100? I have to tell you thats a fair price.
Went to lunch with my normal ladies Sunday brunch group at Lucca's. It was wonderful. Todd took such great car of us. Food was plentiful and delicious. We had a nice booth close to a window so that gave us more light to enjoy. We had a variety of options from pizza to Manfredi Ragu. Have been several times and it never disappoints.
Busy holiday weekend yet the staff were all on point! This speaks to the quality of their service all year. Always great feature dishes to try. This time, we went for the tomahawk ribeye that's on their regular menu. Did not disappoint! What can we say?! We love this place!
Long story short seated 20min late with a reservation. Birthday not acknowledged even though specified in reservation. Host staff not friendly and obviously not trained properly. Food was absolutely terrible, all four meals were mediocre at best. Pizza was just plain sad and ravioli special was beyond bad. Service was good and she was super sweet. All in all this place is a joke. Please don't waste your time and money.
Great food as always. Accommodated us with a plus 1 in our reservation of 7. Table and location could have been better, but expected due to party size.
My husband asked do a different pasta then what came with the meal it was just a small dish and they wouldn't give it to him he had to buy it separate. I think that was bad business any other restaurant we have go to he asked for what he likes rigatoni instead of pasta. What is the big deal. ? It was only a side dish And very small. And they charged him for the type of pasta change it wasn't an add-on
Walked in and waited a long time for hostess. Finally got sat. Server was awesome. Portions WAY TOO BIG. The carbonara wife ordered could feed 5 people, needless to say we took leftovers home. I had a special, Chilean sea bass and risotto, the fish was a good size but the risotto could have fed 5 people. Cut the portions in 1/2 and then you can cut the prices down too and it would be way better
First time at Lucca and I will describe the experience for all three dining members. Overall, the location and restaurant are a nice place to dine for dinner. Two of the meals were described as good Italian. Unfortunately, this author did not share the same dining experience as my She Crab Soup had little to no crab. The entree which unfortunately was crab Ravioli was dead on arrival. I should have sent this back as the meal looked like it was under a heat lamp as all the sauce was total dried up. If there was any crab in the Ravioli, I could not tell. I understand that there is little quality Italian food in Shallotte, but on top of marginal service, I may be back to try pizza. If I lived in Shallotte and needed good Italian, at least you could make a road trip to NMB or Wilmington which has some good Italian.

Overall we were eventually pleased after a couple of hiccups were resolved. I ordered a Manhattan before dinner and specifically asked out waitress for it to be served up and stirred (I'm a self admitted snob about them and bourbon in general). We had a view of the bar and watched the bartender shake the h*ll out of it. When it came to the table I sent it back again with instructions for it to be stirred. The waitress herself prepared the next when and once it was brought to the table she told me she did indeed stir it but that it was warm. I had to tell her it should be stirred with ice, then strained, and told her the reasons why. She took it back and made it correctly, and it was then excellent. She tanked me for teaching her something. My wife ordered the salmon with capers, spinach and tomatoes. When it arrived it was completely covered in sauce, it almost looked like soup. She couldn't eat it. The waitress returned to see if we needed anything, and she herself said the dish wasn't at all the way it was supposed to be. They then prepared a grilled salmon for her with a side of sautéed spinach, again all good the second try. We like this restaurant, the food and service is very good. Once we got through these two incidents all was good, we were happy, and shall return.
Our Lucca experience was amazing. Our waitress Courtney was the best! It's hard to get good service these days but Courtney went above and beyond what I expect. The food was delicious and you can't find a better Caesar Salad anywhere. We will be back!
Long wait but worth it. The food was excellent. Every dish we had was world class. Pasta cooked perfectly. The fresh baked bread was awesome. Drinks were on point. Really great experience for a touristy type town. I was blown away.
Very disappointed with the quality of the food. I had chicken parmesean which was tasteless and smothered with tomato sauce. My wife had a shrimp and pasta dish with sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms and the sauce was too creamy and overwhelmed the ingredients. The service was fair at best. Worst meal we have had in a long time. The price was high compared to many other good Italian restaurant's we've eaten at in Wilmington.
Great food! This was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. Started with good sized fresh Caesar salads and complimentary focaccia bread. I had salmon with a crushed walnut topping, with dill sauce and served over zucchini “spaghetti” My husband had short rib over fresh pasta. Food is scrumptious! Delightful but harried waitress that was covering too many tables.
