Harland was amazing. We were a little disappointed with the wine choice, however the food and service was amazing

The Salty Cow Tavern in Shallotte offers a good sportsbar experience with great beer and food selections. Lots of TVs make it a spot to watch sports. The atmosphere is great, though it can get crowded and very loud because of the football game on the TVs, which is to be expected as this also has a bar. The service is great and attentive, with servers checking in and making sure guests have what they need. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and some of the best, and the Cesar salad with grilled chicken, Mac and cheese, onion rings, flounder, shrimp burger, sushi rolls, roasted potatoes, crab fritters, and shrimp are all great. The wings, however, are not so much, as there is a better wing place in the area. Guests never feel rushed, even when staying past closing while enjoying the game. It is worth the drive, and people will definitely be back.
