Being familiar with the locations of this restaurant in Southport, Leland and Wilmington, we were excited to have one open closer to home. We have been here a number of times since they opened in July and find it consistently better than the other locations (which are very good too!). It is THE BEST bbq and brisket in the area, period! I had to drop two stars because of the service and quality of the brisket. They have young kids working without adult supervision, they gave me pulled pork after paying for brisket and the brisket was half meat and half fatty slabs that I threw in the trash, the trash cans were filled to the top and running out on the floor, hopefully they will get it together before I visit again
We’ve been to three of the Smokehouse restaurants in the area over the past several years, Southport, Leland, and Shallotte. Leland has become dirty and run down bathrooms are filthy. We were pleased to try the new outlet in Shallotte close to home when it first opened, but our enthusiasm has waned.
