Big fan of Outback Steakhouse in Smithfield NC but the last 5-6 times we have ordered our order has been lousy. Usually do pickup and they never have what you ask for in the bag. I asked specifically for extra honey mustard to go with my 2 entrees takeout delivery waitress informs me she checked the bag and it had plenty in it. They didn’t give me but 1 extra for each entree and only one butter for the bread and no butter or sour cream for the potatoes How hard is it to put these items in the bag. Trust me it’s not coming out of your check and with the prices of 2 entrees they are not losing any money. Outback you are no longer my takeout friend. Service is terrible.
I was very disappointed with my recent visit to [outback steakhouse “Smithfield N.C.”]. I ordered my steak cooked to a medium, but it arrived overcooked and dry, not pink at all, Mind you it’s a $32 bone ribeye. The waitress was real sweet and nice She took it back for them to cook another one. To make matters worse my daughter looks up and says “dad there’s a long black hair in my food 🤯 at that moment her appetite was lost which is a serious hygiene concern and gross. They take her plate back to fix then bring my 2nd back and it’s nearly raw 😭there’s no way an experienced cook on any level would have done this. At this point, the entire experience is ruined and we still ended up paying over $80 This was a poor dining experience, and I will not be returning.
We decided we would have a date night this past Friday. What a horrible idea it was going to Outback! Place was only about half full. Took an hour to get our blooming onion, took hour and half for her to get her salad and almost 2 and half hours to get our meals. The steak was so tough I couldn’t even eat it and her pasta was cold. Wasted $100 and still had to stop and get dinner because we never got to eat.

I ordered a Togo 8oz sirloin meal for $20. I got back to my hotel and cut my steak open. I ordered a well done. I received a burnt exterior and the middle wouldn’t pass for medium. Would not recommend ordering well done from this restaurant as they can only burn the exterior

Went to take my daughter on a mother daughter date and ended up having the best experience ever. Our food was good and we were very satisfied but the thing I was most impressed with was Serenity. Not only was she a fantastic server but she was very knowledgeable and had a very warm and loving personality. We didn't want to leave. It's rare nowadays that you go to a restaurant and build a relationship with a server like you've known them your whole life. Every time I go, I will ask to be seated in her section. She was attentive but not overbearing. Thank you Serenity for everything if you're reading this💜 -Nikki

Waitress was good the door greater was terrible told me 5 minutes for a table and waited almost 20 and she set two other groups that came in after I did and it was only 1 for myself. The food at outback had really gone Hill the steak and shrimp way salty and both sucked the blooming onion has way too much pepper on it never use to be like that I will not pay all this money to hate my food I will not go back to any outback food is terrible

Serenity was an amazing waitress. She made our dinner even the more exceptional. She was patient and ensured everything was to our liking.Definitely ask for her when dining at this location. You won’t be disappointed.

I placed an online order 10 minutes before my break at work so that by the time I drove 15 minutes to pick it up, it would be ready. I gave the kitchen a total of 25 minutes to prepare my food before I arrived. When I got there, I called to let them know I was outside. After waiting 15 minutes with no update, I called again and was told it would be “2 more minutes.” Another 10 minutes went by before a manager finally came out to tell me the cook had burned my fries and that it would take even longer. At that point, I had no choice but to ask for a refund since I had to get back to work.
This was very disappointing. I’ve eaten at Outback for many years, but this location showed a complete lack of responsibility and respect for their customers’ time. I will not be returning to this location again.
