If you want to enjoy good food in a local restaurant where you feel at home with friendly staff, I recommend Mama Brava's Pizza. I was so relaxed that I forgot to take a picture of my white pizza, which BTW was delicious! ?

Great staff, nice old school interior. I just wish the food was a little better.

To each his own definitely applies here. My first try. J would rate this place 5 stars for
Service, staff and efficiency. Less so foe my pizza. High marks for my crust — it was perfect, thin and crispy — and the size: a perfect 10” for a Singleton like me. But I can’t say that about the toppings. Again, to each his own. I don’t like dark tomato sauce; too bitter for my taste. Second, seasoned heavily with pepper. Third the sausage topping was definitely not Italian sausage. I was told it was hand made and crumbled. But it’s color, flavor, and spiciness was closer to that of andouille rather than Italian sausage and could have accounted for the pepperiness in my mouth that was off-putting to me. But I’m in the South now where “hot” rules and there are plenty who like this. Not me
Well it’s definitely Italian run but it was pretty average, low of sauce and cheese and my brother thought it was poor
Went there about a month ago with my Mom after doing some furniture shopping. We recently moved down from NY, so we know pizza!
First, off the waitress was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. We ordered the sausage thin crust and had a side (can't remember what it was but it was good). The pie was made fresh and the crust was not burnt, which many brick oven thin crusts tend to be. Only knock was could have used a little more sauce and sausage but not enough to complain.
Asked if the owners were Cape Verdean, since Brava is one of the islands and found out it was the owners mother's name and Karim, the owner, came out and we had very nice chat with him. Gave us the backstory of the restaurant and how he would up in NC. Really nice gentleman.
Overall, great pie and atmosphere. A little pricey but if you want really good pizza made like they do in NY, this is the spot. I'll be back there more often now that I live nearby and found it. :)

Ordered a white pizza and Wayne’s Taylor pizza. Pizza was fantastic! Everyone was super nice over the phone. Of course everyone including the owner when we picked up our pizza was friendly! Places like these are hard to find. Try them out you won’t be disappointed at all!!

I recently dined at Mama Brava’s, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel right at home. The décor strikes a perfect balance between cozy and chic, creating a delightful backdrop for a meal.
The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. The menu featured a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried the signature pasta dish, and it was simply outstanding—the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a rich, well-balanced flavor.
Overall, Mama Brava’s offers a fantastic dining experience with its delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special night out, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon. The Stromboli looked to die for as well.

Food was expensive for price. Gave us the wrong wings and no pineapple on our pizza. Spent $45 on 1 pizza 5 wings and garlic bread. Garlic bread was hard and cold. Pizza was greasy and not very good. Tried to support a smaller business but definitely wasn’t the best place i’ve had.

This was one of those hidden gem local eateries. The eat in option didn't appear to be very expansive or much utilized but the carry-out was what we were looking for. Calzone, pizza, wings and chefs salads were perfectly prepared, properly packaged and ready at the expected time. Everything was delicious. This place is just good food prepared by good folk.
