Ate there yesterday for lunch. 2nd time. Great place and atmosphere!! Eating outside and watching the golfers come in next to the river is great! Rae was a great server.

Beautiful course.

Lots of water but a nice course

One of my favorite courses on the planet. A Palmer masterpiece. We always try to play it when staying in the area. The good: courteous and professional staff, excellent pace-of-play at 4 hours and 10 minutes, superb (and consistent) greens, well-maintained sand traps. And, of course, the spectacular views and the challenging shot strategy on a truly fantastic layout. The not-as-good: turf problems on some holes, especially the backside (photos are 13 fairway, 14 green apron, and 15 tee box [black tee], respectively, when we played in late May 2026). Tee boxes were generally pretty beaten-up on most holes (white and black boxes). The course is completely playable, but at a rate of $140, I shape my expectations accordingly.

The course was in great shape, and it is very challenging. Loved it.

Really nice course and well taken care of. The personnel at the bag drop were super nice and informative. Hole 9, “Arnies Revenge” is a great hole and it’s tricky. If you burst you get a beer and poker chip which is nice. Overall really nice and will be back

Course was in great shape except tee boxes. The staff was super helpful and very friendly.

Played a week of golf in Mrytle beach and played this course the last day there. Absolutely beautiful course and amazing experience! My favorite course of the week.

Tonya Decker and Dan Miller were absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond with great customer service and helping us. They let my uncle and I shop in the pot shop even through it was close for the night due to me not being from North Carolina. Thank you very much the course was amazing. I will definitely come back when I’m in town!

Mr.Palmer didn’t let us down with this one!Our golf crew played the last round of our trip at River’s Edge.We had a blast!The course layout was phenomenal.The property was in such great condition.The gentleman in the pro shop were very welcoming and courteous.Thank you.The food and drinks we enjoyed at the Double Eagle Grille were the best.The ladies operating the Grille were the stars of the show.Thank you ladies!

Great course , we had a large group for golf and dinner. Everything was great.

This course is spectacular in scenery. Unfortunately, the pro shop tries to cram so many people out on it that you cannot expect to play A four hour round. It really ruins the experience. You wait on every hole to look down the fairway and see multiple people waiting. That’s unacceptable for a course where you pay $150 around.

Nothing average about this place. Course was in excellent shape, though rather difficult for just an occasional golfer. #9 was nearly impossible, but entertaining to watch everyone in our group try to navigate the hazards. A bit pricey, but worth every penny if you're looking to be challenged. I would definitely recommend and will certainly return.

Was in excellent shape and it requires good layup shots. Only downfall was I played it in the rain and wind. Obviously not their fault.
