Gourmet to Go & Catered Affairs

Stopped by here during lunch the other day and everything they had was amazing. Preportioned prepared food (percect portions for lunch), tons of options, tons of dessert options, extremely friendly staff and owner. Would recommend and will be coming again.

I called at 4:30 and talked with Samantha because you were offering a fish dish that looked wonderful. I asked the girl how I could see what is in the grab and go and she said that site was not available right now! She told me I could drive to SP to see what was in there. She was NOT helpful at all! I recently have had the 6 grab and go delivered which is what I was hoping to do. I really don’t know what more to say. I asked if she was working tomorrow and she said Adam the owner was!! I want to do business with you as I have in the past BUT she made it very awkward and NOT listening.

Easy ordering online. Chose the 6-meal bundle and hubby, who is a picky eater and comes from a family of chefs, loved his meal! He's in a healthcare facility and wasn't eating, until he tried his meal from Gourmet to Go. BONUS: They deliver also! Reasonably priced, made with quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

We hired gourmet to go for our event, and they absolutely nailed it! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. The staff was professional, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. It’s clear they care about quality and customer satisfaction. We’ll definitely be using them again!

I just had my 1st experience yesterday and I have to begin with the positives, the cheesecake and crab cakes were delicious. However, the order was placed by phone and a side salad was ordered with ranch dressing. While waiting for the order I overheard the chef and the staff member who took my order when the chef handed her an Italian salad and the staff member told her I only ordered a side salad and the chef said, “I asked you if it was an Italian Salad and you said yes”. So I was given the Italian Salad and paid for it accordingly. Also, this may be a standard for them but the green beans on the Crab Cake plate were uncooked and cold. As if they just plated them straight out of the freezer. I was expecting Homemade Chips to be Potato Chips and they were actually Pita Chips. They were cooked and tasted great though. I would hope that this review would prevent anyone else having a not so great experience with this establishment since it is Women Owned, which I wholly support. Perhaps a better explanation on the website of the menu items and hand written orders would help with the confusion.

Great gem of a find in Southport! Stumbled upon this from my neighbor Stanley, and it has now become a ritual. The food is amazingly fresh and perfectly made. It's nostalgia with your grandmother's homemade cooking. It is definitely worth my hour drive from Wilmington to pick up the meals. My favorites are the chicken alfredo, lobster mac n cheese, and seafood scampi. Even the desserts are amazing, like the blueberry cobbler! Adam and his team are great! I'm surprised he even remembers a newer customer like myself. They definitely take pride in their food and appreciate the regular customers. Thank you and see you next time!!

Husband & I had prime rib dinners tonight and they were excellent! We have never been disappointed in anything we have gotten and we are grateful they deliver.

This catering company was a pleasure to work with. They have great customer service while keeping your budget and needs as a priority. The food was delicious. The whole birthday party complimented how good it was. I agreed 100% ??
Adam and Carol were truly a blessing. I highly recommend reaching out to them for any assistance when planning a gathering. It is tough to find better options when searching for catering companies when you give Gourmet to Go in Southport a try.

Excellent service & quality

I love chicken and dumplings so I was quite excited to see a chicken n dumpling soup! Boy, Was I disappointed?!
The broth had no chicken flavor and the veggies tasted like they came straight from the can.
I added seasonings but it did not help. So into the trash it went!

What a great little place! So many healthy options and all ToGo. I wished I lived in Southport. I would make this my 'private chef'. Really surprised amd impressed.

I have tried several of the to go items including the Lobster Ravioli and the Chicken Florentine. Everything was excellent and very decently priced. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Gourmet to Go did a fantastic job with my wedding! From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony everything was delicious and perfect! Carolyn listened to all of our requests, respond in a timely manor, was professional and her staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommended them for any event!!

Gourmet to go catered my destination wedding this past month and they did a phenomenal job! Everything they made tasted so delicious and all of our guests enjoyed their meals. I myself especially loved the homemade chips and crab dip and the Chicken Florentine (entree). They were easy to work with, answered all my questions and everything was well priced. 10/10 recommend.
