51yrs old and this is my first restaurant review (it was that bad). We had eaten at this restaurant a couple of times before in previous trips to Southport. Those visits were overall pleasant with good food and service. Unfortunately our last experience was the complete opposite. Constantly waited on a drink refills. Extended wait times on food. I got the mushroom crusted salmon and it smelled rotten. My wife got the lighter fare salmon dish and hers smelled fine. Our server smelled my fish, had a strong reaction, and took it back to the kitchen. She returned 10-15min later without my plate, and said the smell was the mushroom crust (there's no way). No offer for anything different, but charged full price for a bad plate partially eaten and not returned. We will not be returning here.
The restaurant is lovely with a soothing atmosphere. Unfortunately our waiter was inattentive, never checked on food quality nor brought the mayonnaise I requested. My crab cake was badly burned so that I picked the crabmeat from between top and bottom which were inedible. I told the hostess and she offered that she was sorry. No effort to rectify and bring me back as a return customer.
Excellent restaurant on the main street in S-Port. Very nice menu of large plates and smaller ones, plus a great lineup of salads available with protein and appetizers. Food was great and hot, and came with a side. Nice wines by the glass and not priced absurdly. On street parking right in front.
Great food! Terrible Service! I mean really bad service. There were only five tables being served, but it took them 10+ minutes to come to the table the first time, 20 minutes for the first round of drinks and we never received our second round. Been here before and it was great, but the waiter was the worst we have ever had. Quit making excuses and step it up a little!
The brunch menu food on Sunday was special. The French toast was unique and wonderful. I really enjoyed everything about our experience.
Truly love this place! Food is always delicious and service is always Amazing! Beautiful ambiance! Thank you!
Very kind staff
Had Sunday brunch and the food was beyond delicious!! Service was a little slow but staff was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend
Had dinner there with my wife for my birthday, as I found out they had paella. One of my favorite dishes. I was pretty disappointed, as it came out more like paella soup. My wife's dish on the other hand, was quite delicious. Our server, I believe she said she was the manager, was amazing, and talked us into coming back the following day for brunch. I'm so glad we did. We told another couple with us, and none of us were disappointed. It was phenomenal!

We enjoy Ports Of Call on a regular basis. However, in recent months, we have noticed many notable improvements. Most importantly, your menu changes are especially obvious.
Thank you for providing Southport with new flavors and unexpected pairings. For example, from the Specials menu last night, we enjoyed the, beautifully plated, Sesame and Togarashi seared Ahi Tuna paired with Lavender and Roasted Red Pepper Jasmine Rice all served over a Garlic and Black Bean puree. It was light yet filling and oh, so delicious. We also enjoyed the Steak and Cremini Mushroom Pasta. We were a little chilled all afternoon and desired a substantial dinner. The pasta dish hit the spot (and warmed us up)! Perfectly proportioned were filet mignon tips and cremini mushroom slices in a delicious, lightly weighted red wine-based sauce served over-not too much-linguini. It was just wonderful (and also beautifully plated). Unfortunately, we were satiated and could not indulge in the delicious-sounding POC dessert specials but I can assure you a future visit will be desserts-only and I will return here with my findings!
I also want to congratulate Ports Of Call on the cosmetic upgrades. The exterior enhancements have elevated the downtown charm and draw passersby to, at least, take a peek. The interior changes are also positive improvements to the old structure.
Lastly, and certainly not least, I commend your staff. We do not see your kitchen staff making the magic (then cleaning it up), but we do see the wait staff and bartenders working extremely hard to accommodate your guests. Finding consistent staff is a challenge these days but I cannot say enough about the quality of your food servers. They are extremely hard workers and do so with a smile, and it is clear to me the “behind the house” staff are working just as hard to meet our high expectations.
If you want a truly fine dining experience I recommend you patronize our local gem, Ports Of Call. You will not be sorry.

Our server was really helpful, responsive, and fun. The salad and steaks were very well prepared and delicious. Atmosphere was nice with the soft jazz playing.
We had a really fun and relaxing evening here with friends.

Very noisy. Chicken parmigiana was like rubber. Overcooked. Server indifferent and slow. Don't recommend.
