Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar

This is a nice place, with great atmosphere, the sevice was absolutely amazing and very polite, food came out fast. Everything was beautifully plated and delicious, the Mango mojitos were tasty . Altogether great experience and the portions were perfect for sharing. I will be going again.

Easily one of the absolute best sushi establishments I’ve been to outside of Japan. My typical weather gauge is an order of unagi, as it’s simple and yet easy to mess up with poor quality eel or inattention to detail. I sat at the sushi bar and watched the expert and timely assembly of every order. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful, my Kirin Ichiban was cold, and the food was delicious. 5 stars all day long!

All things great about this restaurant! We had sushi and soup - both were wonderful!

Amazing food! We tried the Tokyo Roll, Angel Hair Roll, and the Super Crunchy Roll. They were all delicious all offered something very unique in terms of flavor and texture. Staff was all super friendly. Glad we stopped here during our vacation. We will be back next time we're down here!

My wife and I have been coming here for the past eight years and normally it was Pretty good. However, tonight for whatever reason it was the most bland food I’ve ever experienced from an asian restaurant.. I will never step foot in this place again. I don’t know if they have new cooks or new supplies I hope they can figure out what the problem is. Southport really does need a good Asian restaurant. And this is not it.

We had a great time at SGSB. Our server Holly was attentive and the food was great! We were able to bring our dogs on the patio and Holly brought them water! Definitely going back

I usually only come here when on vacation with my family. It has a become a tradition to come and eat dinner here! There is definitely a reason we have stuck by this restaurant for years now! The food is always amazing, and so yummy. The servers here are always welcoming and loving. The food never disappoints! This is one my favorite restaurant here in NC!!

Always great! I'm not sure how to recommend anything because everything is amazing. If you have 3+ people and you all want sushi, get the Titanic! It's 5 big specialty rolls of your choice arranged on a wooden ship.

This is my 8 year old son's first request whenever we plan a dinner out and his third year running for his birthday dinner.
