Terrible service. The first time we went a few months ago we saw our waitress, Sophia, yelling at another waitress in the back. Even though it was unprofessional we decided maybe we should give it another try since there's only so many restaurants in SP. We ended up with the same waitress, but this time she took our drink order then never came back. We walked out after realizing she forgot about us.

WOW!! Couldn't find a place that had openings for dinner last night, so we kept driving and stopped here. It was amazing!!! The atmosphere is wonderful, the decor and seating/tables are so culturally correct and beautiful. It was full of people but did not feel crowded at all. We were greeted graciously and shown to our seat. Our server, Holly, was so every personable and efficient. She kept checking on us and refiling our waters. The food! So beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We had 2 sushi rolls and shared a serving of korean kahlbi with fried rice. Helpings of everything were perfect. We will definitely be back! You can't miss with this restaurant! thanks Holly and all who helped us.

Nothing special. I had a variety of things to give it an all around go, but it was all just meh.

May have been a bad night. Although there's no excuse for serving room temperature food. Ordered sushi, not able to eat it it was warm and basically wasn't really as good as I've had in the past I don't know what happened but I will most definitely stay away from this place from now on. Not feeling well after I ate and a little stomach irritation with you know the rest.

We go here often and enjoy it. It is on the pricey side. Some dishes are better than others. The hibachi is generally good, but sometimes the veggies are undercooked. I had the beef hibachi recently, and the steak was so chewy and dry so that wasn't great. The salmon sometimes lacks flavor. The appetizers are all good, sushi is excellent, and they have the best wonton soup. So overall an enjoyable meal/experience. The staff is also super nice as well as the owners.

The food is always good and consistent. The sushi is great! The service is always fast and friendly. Sophia always has a great smile and is always quick to fill your water glass and check on you.

Great place for really good sushi and good variety. We went with a group of 15 for a Birthday party, had reservations. They accommodated us, kept us all happy with the service, food timing and quality. So good!!

Usually love dinner there. Almost always getshrimp and broccoli and egg rolls. Husband sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. His was good. Mine was terrible. Very small Shrimp. Broccoli was like it was cooked a couple times. Usually it's crisp and fresh. This was very old and over cooked. Sauce tasteless. Eggs rolls were chewy and no filling to be seen. And the rice tasted like old leftover. Very disappointed. Haven't been there for awhile because of bridges and roads. Hope this isn't a sign of what's happening in restaurant.

It's been a rough few weeks for small business owners in Southport since the storm and local road issues haven't helped. The other day instead of waiting in traffic I stopped in to check on a friend & fellow restaurant owner at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. Like me at The Saucy Southerner their daily business has been greatly affected and I had an idea I offered the owners. I decided to put together a night with friends and let the restaurant show off a little! Let me tell you!! They showed off big time and made us the most amazing meal!! Our group ate until we couldn't eat any more, and then we ate more!! Everything was fresh, great service and the food was delicious!!! From the sensational appetizers to kick things off, to the second course of some delightful fresh sushi boats and then finished it off with some of their favorite items!! All around we all had a wonderful time and we're grateful to be able to support a local small business during these challenging times. The best part was we beat all the traffic issues, had quality time with friends and made the night a little better for everyone involved! Get out there and support local small businesses and slow down a little. Live life and have fun!!

The food was amazing, i’ve always loved sushi and i’ve eaten here before. This trip around was different, i ordered a super California roll, salmon cream cheese roll, and a special roll called “the big D”. It was all very good but something about the special roll tasted off. However, i was pleased with everything, until i came home later this evening. I began to feel very nauseous and fatigued, which then led to food poisoning. I am very much in pain from this and every bit of my vomit tastes like the special roll i ate. Although, the food was very good and i give them credit for the dish and i will continue to eat here.?
