Taylor Cafe was recommended for breakfast in Southport, with buttermilk pancakes on the menu. Unfortunately, not all ingredients were available on the morning of my visit, but the sweet potato pancakes did not disappoint. Cooked to order, with an egg on top!
What a great little diamond in the rough. Although we had a little bit if a wait, it was well worth it. The service was fast and friendly. I was extremely impressed by the way that their crew moved customers in and out without making a single person feel rushed. Their menu was great and had a little something for anyones taste. Very disappointed to hear this wonderful restaurant is closing! People remember us in hurricane ravaged areas! When these things happen, it takes more than a week for us to recoup what we lose. Understand the suffering goes on looong after the cameras turn off. When you hear about places being damaged, plan on going by and supporting local businesses like this one! Now WE all are losing out!
