Fried pickles were soggy and salty. We couldn't finish them. Fries were cold and soggy also. Barbecue salad was delicious.

March 8th around noon. It was very busy

Does not take card even though they should in this day and age! Cash and checks are not safe to carry and should not have to pay a fee to use their ATM!

The food is VERY EXPENSIVE...for a burger joint. The fries were cold and the BBQ was very dried out. The hotdogs are great, but 15 bucks for a dog and fries, not so much. Gotta make a living I guess but not on my dime.

The Philly steak is a great addition to the menu. The roll is fresh and stays soft but holds up well. The only “complaint” is $5.xx for the side of wedges.

This was the restaurant we were talking about yesterday. We went there in 2021. Food was good, the atmosphere is what had scared us. We walked in and everyone stop eating (like we know they can't be from around here) even the police officer in the back looked at us strange. They set us at a table by the door. I never in my life seen so many white people observed a black person when they eat. The thing is, if only they knew who we work for would we have been treated differently?

Stopped in while passing through Statesville and was initially drawn in by the charming atmosphere and promise of classic Southern BBQ. The décor was warm and inviting, and the sweet tea was absolutely on point—perfectly sweet and refreshing.

Unfortunately, that’s where most of the positives ended for me. I ordered a BLT, expecting something hearty and flavorful, but it was incredibly mediocre—nothing special, nothing memorable. For a BBQ joint, I was hoping for something that really stood out, but this just wasn’t it.

Beyond the food, I noticed a few things that really need improvement. First, the bathroom situation: only an air dryer, which we all know harbors bacteria, and no sanitary way to exit the restroom without touching the door handle. In today’s world, that’s a simple but important fix—paper towels and a trash can by the door would go a long way.

The biggest concern, however, is the smoker actively being used on the curb outside the entrance. While it adds to the ambiance, it’s also a major safety hazard. I nearly brushed against it just getting out of the car, and I can only imagine how easy it would be for a child to get burned. Honestly, I thought it was just a decorative piece at first since there were others outside, but then I realized it was fully in use. This is an accident (and a lawsuit) waiting to happen—please, for the sake of safety, find a better, more protected setup.

Overall, it’s a mixed bag. Great atmosphere and sweet tea, but the food was nothing to write home about, the bathroom setup needs work, and the smoker placement is a serious issue. I’d love to see some improvements because there’s definitely potential here, but for now, I can’t say I’d go out of my way to stop again.

Randy's Bar B Que - real Southern comfort food at its finest. The BBQ chicken and pull pork, fries, beans, hushpuppies, and coleslaw are so good. Also got a free banana pudding as a first time customer! 💯

We want to thank Randy’s barbecue for helping support our youth group with a fundraiser. You’re always very supportive of our community and the best barbecue around. Thank you very much. We appreciate you. Pastor Greg Justus

Excellent service. BBQ plate had very generous portions. The white slaw was really good. It reminded me of my grandma’s. What’s not to love about that? The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The chicken was a little dry. Hubby had the BBQ sandwich and he liked it. Iced tea was good too. The special was a pot pie. Think I need to go back to try that.

Was exited to try the bbq.. was passing through...BUT
they only take Checks and cash (which should be posted everywhere on google)
Dont have bbq sandwiche plates. I was told I would have to make my own sandwiche (kitchen won't make a sandwiche plate).. The Pies are 5 bucks a slice and are not homemade. They come frozen.
To many hoops to jump through for food.

We were in town for the Carolina Hot Air Balloon Festival, and stopped here for dinner. The staff was awesome! The food was sooooo good! I got a regular burger and ate it in about 2 minutes lol. All of our food was absolutely divine! Awesome prices, too. The 5 of us (me, my hubby, two toddlers and Grammy) ate for around 80 bucks, and we had leftovers. We're definitely coming back for more!
