In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance. Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right-mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.

I stopped at the Starbucks in Statesville NC yesterday for a sandwich and a coffee. The coffee was on point excellent(venti cafe latte with chai) and the Bacon Gouda on ciabatta bread was a nice lunch on the road.

There was not enough help. Only 2 people and there was a long wait and not many tables. No one acknowledged we were even there and kept walking past us. My coffee must have been made with oatmeal instead of reg milk. Didn't put a "cuff" around cup and it was too hot to carry. Didn't ask for a name, so other people would pick up or touch cup to see if it was there's. Just overall, below average. Not as people friendly as the Starbucks at Ingles or Hwy...

Everything was good here except Service. As with so many Starbucks, I ask them to stir my latte good after adding sugar and they don't. I end up with a mouthful of sugar when I get to the bottom of my latte.
