My wife and I were in town over night, we like to dine in the local establishments over the same basic chain restaurants. First off our server was so nice, welcoming, and informative, we chose to have an early dinner the place wasn’t to busy, but the punctuation with refills, the privacy during conversations I couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. The food was phenomenal! I chose the Hot Honey Pecan Crusted Salmon, my wife got the Mushroom Asiago Chicken, both meals were perfect with our wines. I’d 100% recommend, and I hope to make a trip back down sometime soon!
So disappointed in our visit tonight. New Years Eve and we choose Twisted Oak for dinner. We sat in a booth at the bar. We ordered our cocktails and a couple appetizers to start. The pretzels and beer cheese were good. We ordered the Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms...not so good. They were cold, drowned in balsamic and did not taste like fresh lobster. We asked if the dish was supposed to be served warm and were told it was. Our waitress offered to heat them but we declined. We had to ask twice for a second cocktail. The waitess was busy socializing with friends. The final insult was when we paid our tab. The waitress did not return with my change. I had to request it. When she did bring it I thanked her and her response was a very sarcastic " you are welcome" I usually enjoy my visits to Twisted Oak but this visit was disappointing.
Very good service and the food was as good as it looks! Parking was easy and got sat right away. Clean establishment and they kept my glass full the entire time, without asking.
Liked the atmosphere and our server was kind. Good service. Food was good but not great. Fish sandwich had a slice of American cheese on it so that was a little strange. Squash dish was okay. Good twisted fries!!
me and my husband went for our wedding anniversary. Just wanted something low key. when we sat down our server came with waters. we asked to have a min to look over the drink menu. 15 mins later after I watched her take a phone call. she finally came over to get our drink order. we put in our drinks and food at the same time. our app came out server never checked on us. our food came out totally different server came by to ask if we needed anything. we did it took someone 15 mins to check if we needed anything after our food was ran. we needed ketchup and ranch. our server finally checked on us 25 mins into having our food. we asked for boxes she did get those to us in a timely manner. than we sat for another 15 mins waiting for the check. the food was lacking in flavor. honestly the servers was not good at all. the other server checked on us more than our server. I have worked as a server for years and would never give server like I received. Will not be returning
Overall just ok. The burgers were not cooked as ordered. It was pricey for what you got. Our service was just ok. Not somewhere I would go again.
My wife and I happened to be in town and were suggested the twisted oak. we thought the food and atmosphere. There was amazing! Great service! Great food! Awesome beer! highly recommended!!!
4.5/5 Stars
Twisted Oak Bar and Grill immediately makes a great impression with its beautiful aged red brick building—it has that classic downtown district charm that feels both nostalgic and welcoming. The entrance features a richly stained wooden door that sets the tone perfectly, giving off a warm and inviting vibe right from the start.
Outside, there’s a cozy patio seating area that’s great for enjoying a nice day. Inside, the bar carries that same warmth, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The menu was impressively diverse, offering something for just about everyone.
I ordered the ribeye sandwich, and it did not disappoint—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. It’s clear they care about the quality of their food as much as the ambiance.
Overall, Twisted Oak is the kind of place you’d want to visit again—whether for a casual drink, a solid meal, or a night out with friends.

Good food and friendly service. The ribeye sandwich is awesome.
My salad was good, but our sever was very, very slow and inattentive. I would not go back based on the service alone.
