“AWESOME! Little Mom& Pop diner. We went for breakfast and I had two eggs oe and a 5oz hamburger steak with grits. My wife had the Western Omelet. My eggs and burger were cooked perfectly and the grits were nice and smooth. The omelet had sautéed onions and peppers in it which a lot of places just add raw veggies into the mix. It was done they way it should be and perfect amount of cheese. We got there about 8:45am and the morn rush was gone but it is a very small place with maybe a dozen tables and booths. We were thrilled with the service and my coffee cup was always full. Parkers is a place we will definitely go back to in the future. 👍😁“

“Our waitress Aryn was amazing, not as amazing as the food though. The coffee, waffles, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and sausage were all made or cooked to perfection. The housemade jelly has the perfect sweetness. Especially for those watching there sugar intake. Enjoyed my experience immensely!“

“I’ve been enjoying Village Tavern for over 25 years—whether celebrating with friends and family or simply stopping in for a casual meal. It’s one of those rare places where I know I can always count on a consistently great meal and warm, attentive service.

There’s truly not a bad seat in the house. The indoor dining area is cozy and welcoming, and I especially love the outdoor patio when the weather’s nice. The large bar inside is perfect for socializing or networking, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. It’s a spot that’s friendly to both families and singles, and the staff always makes everyone feel at home.

Some of my favorites include the fish tacos, meatloaf, and carrot cake—each one consistently delicious and satisfying. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of parking, which makes every visit easy and enjoyable.

I wasn't a fan of the Chongqing Noodles becuase the broth had too much oil for me. However, the flavor was there. I wanted to try something new and I did. It just wasnt for me but I believe other people will like it if they like oil based noodle broth.“

“My husband and I are regulars here. Visiting Melt is really a highlight of our week. Everyone who works there is so down to earth and kind. We like to support businesses that treat their employees well. Something we’ve noted is that much of the staff have been with Melt for quite some time. And they seem genuinely happy to be there. It’s just a really bright gem here in Greensboro. And the food? We’ve never had a bad meal there. It’s always so good. And they make a great Old Fashioned :)

“Had an excellent experience! The food was delicious: the Chicken ACP was great, we tried a new steak dish that had cactus which was great to try, the enchiladas were delicious. Our table chips and salsa were yummy and not too spicy. My house margarita was both tasty and beautiful.

My kid’s kid meal of chicken fingers and fries was actually the big surprise of the order, going above and beyond typical kids meal fare; i typically expect ore ida crinkle cut fries, but instead these gave the impression of being made in house, they were really crispy and delicious, and the chicken was deliciously fried small bites of chicken, not some sad chicken nuggets. My picky kid pronounced it as delicious and ate almost all of it which is a rare win in a restaurant for us!

Our waiter Javier was very helpful and friendly, and a great server! We had a lovely experience and will definitely be back!“

“Last minute called in for a Pep Pizza and I must say this has been the most comparable NY Pizza I had and I’m born and raised in Long Island! Sauce and cheese ratio was perfect and the crust was crispy. They got it right. Absolutely will be ordering again. And receptionist was very friendly. Our server Jessica C was great, although she forgot about my wife's honey mustard, which she apologized for, she made my son a Baja Blast drink, not available, but she went the extra mile to make my son happy. The burgers and fries were great, and the appetizers were good. My steak was cooked as I wanted, but a bit chewy, still had good flavor. The shrimp were a bit overcooked for my taste and the mashed taters were bland. The boneless wings appeared to have been cooked hours earlier, reheated and served, as they were hard and chewy. We are not Applebee's people, but chose this location as we were close and hungry. Would we come back? Probably yes. Price wise, for a family of four, four entrees, four drinks and two appetizers, $110.00... not bad.“

“The food is good with lots of options. The staff is ok. Just seem pretty distracted. On this visit, there were at least 5 tables littered with dishes and trash that had not been cleaned up and stayed that way the entire time we were there. Normally the staff are punctual about cleanup. But today they didn't touch anything“

“This restaurant used to be our favorite. Since the new owners came, everything has gone down hill. The egg rolls are smaller and filled with more rice than anything else. The fried rice is just tan rice with nothing else added. Any dish that is served with vegetables, now expect the veggies to be served raw - uncooked with a sauce over them. The thinly sliced chicken has a lot of fat and gristle. Even the hot tea (overpriced) has a different taste. The last 2 times I ordered the Egg Fu Yung - I was really sick afterwards. If I ever go back I will just order noodle soup with no vegetables or chicken. The waitresses are very nice but I worry about what goes on in the kitchen. Their sanitary rating is low so the kitchen can't be too clean. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area that we will be trying.“

But then we took a chance at bamboo house skeptical at first that a small dated shopping center area would have good restaurants but Wooooooow ! 9/10!!! We loveeee the food!! We have eaten what feels like dozens and dozens of different chinese restaurants and buffets throughout the United states and the number 1 on our list is a similar chinese take out in new jersey that blew us away!!! But bamboo is a solid number 2 or 3 on our list. As long as we live in greensboro this will be our regular spot! Thank you for the delicious food and excellent service!“

“What started as a $4.15 Happy Meal on a road trip the day after Christmas, proceeding to hungry and very angry parents late at night after several other restaurants ended up being closed or refusing to serve walk-in customers, ended with a $40 meal and the angel at the Jake’s Diner drive-thru. I don’t actually know what’s on the menu, and honestly, they probably could’ve served Lunchables and I’d have still given them a four star review. Thank you for being open late the night after Christmas, thank you to the nice girl at the window for simply wanted 3 chicken sandwiches and fries, one spicy, and making it happen.
