This place is not your typical Italian-American spaghetti & meatballs joint. The chef has serious culinary chops equal to the best authentic Italian top-end restaurants in any major city! Ambience is busy but cozy, especially in the booths by the bar...more quiet for dinner conversation! Service was top tier--Ashley was busy at the bar but was still super attentive & very friendly and made us feel at home as first timers! Like having dinner at a friend's house who just happens to throw down first-class Italian cuisine. The chef, with Sicilian roots I was told, stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was great. Superb is a better description!!! Last time I had tagliatelle Bolognese this great was in Bologna...and my date's fettuccine Alfredo was very close to Alfredo's in Roma--with primarily a Parmigiano-Reggiano emulsion made with butter & starchy pasta water--not a gloppy heavy cream sauce most often found posing as Alfredo in the USA. Salvino's is definitely now in our rotation of top Greensboro restaurants. Refreshing to find authentic Italian in N.C.“

“My friend and I heard about this place from a Facebook group and knew we had to drive from Ramsuer and Asheboro to try it. We went for the buffet and we tried and loved everything on the buffet. Neither of us had tried Indian cuisine so it was really nice to be able to try a variety of items. We were very impressed and will certainly return. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very clean and the server was kind and attentive. I'm definitely adding this to my favorites list.“

Excess noise can easily be diffused through simple fabric noise canceling flags draped from the ceiling. “The gem is tucked away in the shopping center off Battleground with Trader Joe's and Gold's Gym. My hubby and I had just completed a workout, so what better thing to do then get some food immediately after. Hey, we earned it. I hadn't been here before, but my husband spoke highly of it. I like sandwiches so was game. There was a good amount of people in line on a Saturday so a good sign. It's a simple restaurant. You order at the corner. Most get their subs to go, like we did, but they do have some tables if you wanna eat there. First thing I noticed was they had a lot of options. Truly a sub for any preference. They had the classics like Reuben, Meatball, and cold cuts as well as more unique offering like Buffalo Chicken Ranch and Gyro. You could come here often and try something new each time. I went classic for my first visit and got an Italian footlong on wheat. You can get a 6" or 12". I noticed that my 12" was actually going to be two 6" sandwiches. While this surprised me at first, I kind of liked it. It probably helped to motivate me to stop eating after I consumed the first one and save the other for the next day. The Italian was available cold or toasted and I could add any available toppings and sauces I wanted. They have all the standard options but some fancy extras like roasted red peppers. I got those as well as provolone, lettuce, onion, and oil and vinegar. Our subs were quickly assembled, wrapped up, and given to us to enjoy at home. The staff were efficiently and friendly. There is nothing fancy about these subs and the photos may not be the most exciting, but it was a tasty sandwich. The various meats on my Italian were good and the veggies fresh. They did not skimp on any ingredients and as I said a 6" was enough to fill me up. The other 6" also heated nicely to be enjoyed the next day. My husband got the Chicken Philly. I took a few bites and it was also good. I can see why the Sub Spot is a popular place and if you just wan't a good simple sub, it's a solid option.“

“I've been to several Thai restaurants around here but this one wins as far as taste and atmosphere. The genuine Thailand instruments on the walls and sculptures and other decor really add to the atmosphere. Service was excellent. For free spring roll when you come in and are waiting for your dinner. I had the yellow curry which was excellent. I see now why this restaurant is rated so highly.“
