“We had an amazing experience at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The cocktail tasted fresh. The service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. We even brought our little one she is two and quite a picky eater and cleared her plate. “I have now eaten at New Sichuan three times. My opinion is that New Sichuan is the best authentic and Americanized Chinese food in Winston-Salem and I have tried lots. The place is spotless with a near perfect sanitation record. The service is quick and friendly. The food is served quickly. On our most recent visit my son had Beef with Diced Hot pepper which he judged to be very good. If you like Americanized Chinese food I can highly recommend their General Tso's Chicken. It is a huge portion and it is likely the best that I have ever eaten. The egg rolls are served piping hot. General's Chicken, an egg roll, water and tip comes to just over $20.00. I highly recommend New Sichuan. The rice even sticks together so you can eat it with a chopstick.“

“Had the waiter from hell! 6/10 about 7:30/8pm. had the nerve to ask if I had ever eaten out before young curly haired guy with a diva attitude. The waiter mentioned he was having a bad day after the "Shelby came out of me"...I guess a bad day was what he was serving as well even if we just wanted shrimp tacos....I didn't get the tacos...I just got a bad day...then went to Burger King 👑 had it my way. I'll cook my own tacos tomorrow! Don't eat at Mi Pueblo on Stratford road. We couldn't even complain because the manager had to get translation from Lucifer....our waiter.... eat popcorn PBJ sandwich even if you're allergic to PBJ just don't go there.“

“The hostess was excellent last night. Greeted and seated on time! Our waiter Tom was excellent! Very attentive; presented options immediately, got our orders right, and came back often to see if we needed anything. Tom had great balance: not pushy, but also coming back often to check on us.
The food was great: hot, and the steak was tender and flavorful!“

“The chicken was good and juicy, sauced and not sauced. It steamed a little on the ride home which made the sauced chicken less crispy. The collards are good - but, I do think they’re canned. The mac n’ cheese and beans were also tasty. The potato salad was overwhelming and a bit too much for my preference. Overall, for a quick fried chicken fix, this is a nice spot.“

“I stopped in to pick up a Baja Turkey Burger for my Mom. She Loves their Turkey Burgers. Her appetite is poor, since, her Stage 4 Cancer could, no, longer be treated. The treatment caused adverse, effects. My Daughters paid her a visit, during, Christmas of 22 and discovered it on the menu. They purchased it. My Mom Loved it and has desired another, since. Today is a great day for her! Thanks for offering and preparing fresh, farm to table options.“

“I have always loved Grandma Ruby's but now that my homegirl Jana is there, it's always better, you got to go see her because she just makes the place so much better. it was great before. it's just so much better now. not to mention they have amazing food, they always have. it's just a good little country cookin' spot right there on University. if you've never had it, you have to go try it. you will not regret it.“

“I've had occasion to eat at Johnny B's since it first opened. All in all it's a great restaurant, the seating is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and efficient, the food is great, and it's very clean. My only negative comments would concern the volume of the music in the background. When you go in for breakfast, or any time really, you don't need the music turned up as loud as it always is. My other negative comment concerns the fact that they are out of tea bags for hot tea quite often. If tea bags don't come when ordered there is a Food Lion right across the parking lot where a box could be purchased. These are minor items overall, and they won't stop us from dining there, but it would be nice to have these issues addressed.“

“Olive Tree is my go to place for Greek food. I love their gyros and their fried zucchini with ranch is a MUST! I have been going here for years and it is always consistently delicious. You can get take out or dine in, there are always a few people there but you can find a table. The serves is quick so it makes for a great lunch place.“

“I usually don’t have nothing negative to say about this place- cause the majority of the time when we go to eat here the food is pretty good, and the staff is nice. But today I got a to-go order of a fried chicken salad- with ranch! And I requested extra chicken (I even said I will pay the extra) and of course I get home- my salad box had very little lettuce 🥬 in it- and the lettuce that was in it, was very faint & just not fresh like the other times I’ve gotten this exact salad. Wasn’t crisp- and barely had any “salad” in the to-go container. I think for the price - it should have been at least a little more decently made- and I could have got my extra chicken I requested! 😒“

“After seeing the mentions for this little Mexican Spot, I had to try it for myself! The place is pretty clean. The young lady that took my order was very kind & polite. I ordered the beef Birria Tacos & a side of rice & beans! The tacos were cooked to perfection & had lots of meat! The beef was so tender & flavorful! The hot & green sauce were also a hit, but the birria dip was the most flavorful out of any place I’ve tried thus far…most places are pretty watered down but this one was pretty bold! The rice and beans were also good and tasty! You get 4 tacos for $11 so it was definitely worth it! They only take 10-15 minutes to make your order and you’re out the door! They also serve a large variety of imported Mexican beverages and jarred veggies! Go!! You won’t be disappointed! 😊“

“I've been coming to Flower's Bakery for years. The bread is fresh and much less expensive from the grocery. Today, I brought a loaf of Nature's Own SF bread , mini donuts, and a box of snack cakes ($1.50 each). It was less than $5, or about what I would spend for a bread loaf at the grocery. They often have holiday themed items that are hard to find. I saw fruit cake, pumpkin spice donuts, and popcorn balls, to name a few.“

Barcelona Burger is hands down one of the best places to eat in Winston-Salem. Jasmine and her entire crew are absolutely phenomenal—not only is the food incredible, but the hospitality is second to none. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family and can tell they truly care about their customers and the community.
The burgers are out of this world. Honestly, they’ll make a cheeseburger so good it could make a vegetarian jealous. And if you are vegetarian, they’ve got fantastic options for you too. Every meal is made with care, packed with flavor, and served with a smile.
If you’re looking for amazing burgers, great beer, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back, Barcelona Burger is the place to be. Winston-Salem is lucky to have them. I can’t recommend them enough—do yourself a favor and stop by Bailey Park for an unforgettable experience thought that I thought that was the one that you get would“
