Fish and chips were a decent sized portion, Sheppards pie was a bit on the small side.Overall not the best Irish pub we've been too, but good enough to where we might go back if we are in the area again.Parking: Very limited free street parking, but several parking lots with paid parking.“

“What a great little hole in the wall bar. It's is small inside, but they do have some outdoor seating. Going in, you have a kind of Old Western Saloon. We had 4 adults and a gaggle of young teenage girls. The bartender made some special Shirly Temples for all of them. We all got a drink, and it was like $20. Fantastic prices! It's definitely a great place to check out. Outside, they even had an open window to the bar, so you could order.“

“It’s a little off the beaten path but it’s incredibly worth the visit! They have a great variety of beers so you can always find something you’d like, and everything is very well balanced and drinkable. If there’s a kind of beer you’re unsure about, try it from Hoots! They do a great job highlighting key components of different beers without making some of the funky flavors overwhelming. Additionally, their menu is always rotating, because once something is out something new often takes its place. Overall a great little bar and great beer, I high recommend giving it a shot!“

Ginger Fox Beverage Bar • $$
905 South Broad Street, Winston-Salem

“We recently got the chance to try Ginger Fox when we picked up some desserts and cakes for Christmas! Their space itself is really conveniently located downtown off of 4th street so it's easy to find and park. Inside it still reminds me of a juice shop so I think there could be some work done to make it more of a cocktail bar feel. The tables and lighting and counters remind you of a juice or ice cream shop. The staff was SO kind and attentive but the ordering process online was a bit clunky. You have to order online using a QR code but the entire table/group as to order at the same time and pay at once. Something happened and our order doubled so they prepped too many drinks compared to what we ordered. The drinks themselves were really well balanced and crafted! I loved the Oaxacan old fashioned and would order this over and over again! Overall the drinks were great but a few of the logistics need some tweaking.“

“I’ve enjoyed Eastern Standard a few times but our most recent visit was for a birthday celebration. The service from Cherry, Bob, and equally delightful bartender whose name escapes me really helped make the experience. It is classy and elegant but also very approachable. If you appreciate traditional mixed drinks or want to experience them, this is your place. The bartenders are legitimate bartenders who know their craft and execute well. Not that there isn’t also a thorough wine selection.Mixed nuts! Warm, seasoned, mixed nuts! They’re delicious and I’m not really a mixed nut person. The charcuterie is always impressive. The pimiento cheese is delightful as well. They have also truly nailed the aesthetic. It’s a beautiful place to feel beautiful.I’ll add that while there is dress code and security, it does not seem to be about gatekeeping or limiting minority patrons but actually about maintaining the elevated and elegant experience. So few places can manage that.Would recommend.“

“Waited a while to go to this place, but was consistently recommended to go there! Our served Leslie was one of our top highlights of our visit, greeting us with a beautiful smile, she was so helpful and personable. She made some excellent suggestions for us about some menu items as well as the daily drink deal that they had going on. All staff should be like Leslie!Onto the food and drinks, my fiance and I indulged in some dirty martinis with bleu cheese stuffed olives (yum!) and these were made perfectly. We always like to have them lightly dirty, if you know what I mean. The food left us with happy bellies and plentiful sized portions really helped us get a bang for our buck. Some of the appetizers that we were blessed with were the Hot Crab Dip (10/10 recommend that), which I was practically able to spoon feed myself, Flash-Fried Calamari, also delicious and the squid was at a desired consistency, and lastly we were offered a special appetizer. This appetizer was tempura cauliflower with a kung pao like glaze. Leslie suggested we try this because they were out of the last appetizer we wanted, which were the thai chicken skewers. She was super rad for that! For our entree's we had two different salads, I had the Thai Chicken Salad and he had the Grilled Chicken Spinach salad. All ingredients in the salads were fresh and had us feeling satisfied and a little better about ourselves after all of the flavorful appetizers that we devoured. The inside of the place was truly like a tavern and the lighting was lovely as well, at our dining table we had a little personal light above the table, which I believe made our date night a little more romantic.Would definitely return here!“

“I came here last week with some friends for the first time and we had a pretty good meal. I had actually stopped by once before a few months ago on a Wednesday when they have their dollar wing and $5 house wine special. I sat at the bar that time but nobody ever came over to help me so I ended up leaving. This second (first real) experience was much better. We were seated at a table and our waitress was nice and attentive. They have a large expansive menu and weekly specials as well. It was actually national margarita day, so we ended up getting a $5 marg special with our entrees. I went with the bacon and pimiento cheeseburger, added onion rings. My friends ordered the shrimp special and a build your own spud. The food came out pretty quick. I really enjoyed my burger; I thought the onion rings were okay - way too breaded; like 85% breading and maybe a couple actual onions overall. Pricewise, it's pretty standard, around$15 for an entree. Overall atmosphere of this place is pretty laid back and casual. It was really busy when we arrived around 7pm and had thinned out around 830 when we left. I'm giving this a generous 4 stars; i'd say it's more 3.5-3.75 stars but I would definitely come back to hopefully try the wing wednesday special sometime.“

“I came here a couple Sundays ago. It was just after they opened for the day and there wasn't many customers. For a spell it was just me and the bartender, an amiable chap with whom I had a nice chat about sundry pablum over a couple cocktails. There was some speculation that a drifter who had come in right before me had fallen asleep in the bathroom. Apparently, he went in but never re-emerged to order a drink, which is pretty sus. I helped the bartender check the situation out a little while later, thus establishing myself as a different brand of more trustworthy drifter, but it seemed the guy had just slipped out the back door. Again, a lil weird, but there was no untoward trackings left behind, and honestly, be there no harm, his business is his. This anecdote has nothing at all to do with the quality of this establishment. In fact, this bar is in a rather swanky, relatively recently remodeled part of town where I doubt anyone's got to worry about unsavory shenanigans unless they want to. I dig the Dram & Draught chain. I've been to three out of about a half dozen locations. They're of varying sizes and layouts, but they all share a smooth, jazzy atmosphere and top notch concoctions. I had the "Birds & Bees" off their favorites menu, which is sort of like an old fashioned with a little extra fruitiness. I also had a "Waters of Youth" from their seasonal selections. I don't remember what the flavor profile of that was but I remember thinking to myself: "I'd order this again." That's the best that can be said of any drink. Anyways, whoever that mysterious restroom roamer was, he missed out. He should have tried a bevy here. They're all good.“

“A classic pub with some nice beer options on draft and some tasty food! We were seated immediately when we arrived (only high top tables inside, but some lower tables on their heated, covered patio) and a waitress soon came over with a menu and water. She asked us what we wanted but we weren't quite ready, so we asked for a few minutes. When given the option to order, take it because we waited another 15 minutes for her to come back and take our order. We ordered the loaded nachos to start, and then got the Gochujang Hot Chicken Sandwich and Hot Honey Chicken Wrap. The loaded nachos were good and adding grilled chicken made them extra tasty, however, by the time the nachos got to us they were lukewarm and a little soggy, so I don't know how long they had been sitting in the kitchen waiting to come out. My husband said the Gochujang Hot Chicken sandwich was okay, but not very saucy and little spice. The Hot Honey Chicken Wrap was good, but not what I expected because it was very saucy and tasted like a buffalo chicken wrap more than anything else. HOWEVER, the winning food was their fries that came on the side--they were everything I wanted a fry to be, with some light breading and perfect texture to dunk in ketchup. When we visit Quiet Pint again, we will probably stick to their apps or try a burger!Parking: Free parking lot right by Quiet Pint, but it can be tricky to find a spot, especially when the restaurant is busy.“

Staff all seemed impeccably tuned to service or at least very genial. Our server was thoroughly knowledgeable, charming, genuine. There wasn't a single thing on the menu I wouldn't have ordered, and my companion and I got out for just over $130 including tip, well fed and in great spirits.
