“This is a special night out restaurant for us. Nothing we dine at every month. Kind of disappointed with the lack of service on our most recent trip. The restaurant wasn't crowded but it took over 5 minutes just to get a waitress to our table, then another 5min plus to get drinks. I ordered a side salad to have before the entrée...guess which showed up first. My wife also ordered an alternate side but that didn't come out correctly either. The only positives from last night: the cook nailed the steak, salmon was on point and beer was cold. This is definitely not the Milner's we know from years past.“

“My family has enjoyed The Sherwood on many occasions and always been pleasantly surprised by the quality and service! This year we had the privilege of using their establishment for catering our Reagan High School Band of Raiders band camp and what a pleasure it was for the students! The baked pasta was delicious and enough for seconds (yes, even for teenagers), and the salad was refreshing after a day in the heat marching, topped off with a warm roll! The kids were ready to keep marching into the evening!!! we cannot recommend The Sherwood highly enough and we will definitely be calling on them again and again! Thank you for the lovely experience! “30 min wait the 40 min wait on food. cooks can't even come into to work. Only half full and still a wait out the door. Half the drinks out. Running out of food so you half to pick what they have left. I would not recommend this place and I will never come back here.“

“My wife and I went there tonight for our 3 year wedding anniversary dinner, being that we had never been, so I made reservations, immediately walked in and had a set table ready. Kurt, our server was above and beyond, to say the least! Ordered the special that he recommended, “best bang for your buck” and he was nothing shy of the truth! By far, one of the best dinners that we’ve experienced, and we are foodies; traveled and ate at some of the best restaurants imaginable, and I can gladly post this review, admitting that we will certainly be back! “The wait here can be long at times, but it's worth the wait. I don't think they take reservations. We waited about 20 minutes but for an indoor seat. They have a lot more outdoor seating. The waitress was very busy and so forgot a few things. She would evening them. The food and wine selections were very good. I would go back when in the area.“

“My family has been going to Kanpai since it opened. The food is extremely good and the food is always consistent. I was so sorry to hear about Chris passing away. Over the years; Chris and I were on first name bases and that was us living in Mount Airy. So if you've never been to Kanpai' give it a try, you want be disappointed.“

“I took my son here for his birthday on a Thursday. We were the only ones there which was fine, the staff was very nice and our waitress was very attentive. The food was great! I had the shrimp and grits and it was sooo good! My son had the chicken and waffles, mac n cheese, and yams. He loved it all and they gave plenty of food. We will definitely be back and I would recommend everyone go try it!“

“Love LJS! We only have this one near us. They were having some difficulty with their computer system when we were there. So we had a bit of a wait, and some waited longer than us. I truly love this place and WANT it to do well so it's not closed like the one in our town. But, LJS or the owner of this particular restaurant needs to give it some attention. The outside needs the area spruced up. The inside fairly well, but the cabinet door where ketchup and condiments were stored was hanging by 1 hinge. The employees were slow but focused on the orders on the system that had gone down. Glad to have this store, just want to keep it open.“

“They charged me 17.95 for a freaking strawberry lemon drop that taste like strawberry lemonade no alcohol tasted. Next time I will kindly ask for a 8-10 dollar mixed drink. I really could have cussed that bar tender out.“
