“Love cheap oyster Monday! Great beer. Sometimes I'm not sure what the kitchen staff is doing. The team shucking oysters is always killing it and the kitchen food can be so slow. They completely forgot my crab soup and it took 45 minutes for Calamari.Parking: Really small lot behind the restaurant but street parking downtown.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid friendly place!“

“The food was amazing. Jefferey provided outstanding service. The only drawback was that we were seated at a small table in a pretty empty space. We like to sit next to each other when dining and it was our anniversary (I shared that when making the reservation), and the table we were assigned had no romantic element at all. “The Irish coffee, bacon board, and bacon egg and cheese sandwich were so good. The rest of the party enjoyed their meals as well, like the biscuits and gravy and french toast. We were there for Sunday Brunch for our Mom's birthday. The hosts were very friendly, and so was our waitress, whose name I can't remember; sorry.Will give you a heads up and say that they ONLY serve soft drinks, water, and alcohol. They do not have tea; sweet or unsweetened. They also don't have ketchup, but the dip they give you for your fries is really good, and you won't miss not having the ketchup.Will definitely go back given the chance. “This was an unusual and great dining experience for us. Our party arrived separately, and my father had difficulty finding the restaurant, because of it's location tucked back behind the main businesses off of North Main Street. I got a call from him, rather frantic, when I just came to the hostess station. The hostess was super helpful with him and even talked him through the steps to get to the restaurant, spending at least five minutes on the phone with him during a busy time. She was so patient and helpful. I regret that I did not get her name. Once we all arrived our dining experience continued to be excellent. Our server, Freya, was also patient, warm and welcoming and by the end of the dinner almost felt like family as she was so friendly with us. We had food allergies among our party and she was very helpful with those. She brought us a separate menu with plenty of items that were marked clearly for allergies. None in our party had any allergic reactions that evening. The food and wine was fantastic, and we left satisfied. Even though we took a long time because of the difficulty in getting there, no one so much as hinted at any inconvenience for the restaurant. Many restaurants in the area are closed on Mondays, and this was a birthday dinner, so it was nice to find one of the finest restaurants in town available on that evening. We will definitely be back.“

“Intimate restaurant with friendly staff and owner. The food was the highlight. We had fried whiting with fried shrimp, hish puppies, french fries, mac n cheese bites and drinks. Everything was delicious. The food was hot and the drinks were cold. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I came here on a Thursday night with a colleague and we had a great dinner. She had the sea bass and I had the seared tuna. They were both excellent! Not only did the food taste great but the presentation was beautiful. The flavor profiles were spot on. This was our first time at the restaurant and we did not know what to expect, but we found the restaurant ambiance to be welcoming, even though it was more upscale. The restaurant was tastefully and artistically designed. We had good service from start to finish and I would recommend this as a good choice for many occasions.“

He was pleasant, engaged in polite conversation, and most of all he didn't hover. “We stumbled across this place on a Friday night and were very happy we did! We ordered a few things including the Oysters Rockefeller, the Mahi Mahi, the Harvest Goat Cheese Salad and sides of cole slaw and mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious!! I mean really everything. The service was great too. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, it’s very clean, comfortable and it’s not too big. It’s not a really fancy spot but not casual either. Make sure you get a reservation as it seems they book out fast during the weekends. Our favorite dish was the Mahi Mahi, the taste and presentation were excellent. The Oysters were also delicious but forgot to take a pic. Highly recommend this place.“

“This was the first time visiting since it turned from Thai to Mexican. The food was good and had a very complex flavor. I had the soup and it was great. We stayed for a little longer than most guests. They didn't seem annoyed, but continued to check on us. I love the atmosphere it was very colorful and made a great backdrop for the restaurant.“

“After our bowling tournament, we came to this establishment to eat. we walked in to a very clean and serene place..R&B playing at just the right volume. We were greeted and sat in a booth. We placed our order ànd we didn't have to wait long for our food. My brother's ordered pork chops..tender, juicy and flavorful..the Mac and cheese was to die for..the collard greens and green beans fantastic! I ordered whiting and it was sooo good! We told them we will spread the word and we have done just that! We will definitely come back!“

“It was an excellent experience while we celebrated our 18th anniversary. Our server, Latoya was absolutely the best. She was very attentive and made great wine suggestions. I sincerely appreciate her and the service we received. Our order was perfectly cooked and timed perfectly. Thank you again! “Decided to go for dinner. Haven't been in a few years. Had fried mozzarella as app. Really good. I had flat bread and my wife had Chicken Parmesan. Both were very good. We had Strawberry shortcake for dessert. Service was good too.“

“Husband introduced me to Captain Bill's and it is delicious!!! My first trip I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked a perfect medium as requested and it was delicious! It was much less expensive than my usual check with a ribeye on it. My family all ordered different plates and everything was perfect, hot and delicious. I was so impressed that I returned on the day of my hair appointment for lunch and ordered the catfish plate... piping hot, cooked perfectly, and once again absolutely delicious. I am officially a fan. Now that I think about it, this is probably my favorite seafood restaurant in Greensboro now! That's huge after just 2 visits but they didn't miss on anything. “The food is amazing. This bar/restaurant is very unassuming looking from the outside. Once inside, it is a fun and energetic environment. The staff and customers are really nice and friendly and welcoming. I had a Ceasar salad with salmon and the salmon was cooked to perfection and the dressing was to die for. My friend got one of the specials and loved it. His mom got the soup and shrimp and said they tasted great. I will be back with my husband.“

“Oakcrest has been my go-to, sit-down-&-relax, meal place since 2016. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food is like "home-cooked." It's not gourmet, but "down-home" in quality. A lot of the diners are long-time customers, and many know each other.“

They also have a buffet line in which they serve you.On the buffet they offer 4 meat choices and eight or ten vegetable choices. I had Country style steak with gravy, mashed potatoes and greens. It’s also because the customer service is outstanding. The owner is a pastor. He is very kind and down to earth to his customers. His staff is always friendly at every location that I’ve been to. (There is currently two locations in Greensboro and one in Chapel Hill).So what sets this seafood restaurant apart from the rest in Greensboro? Well besides all of the reasons above, the location here at the Greensboro mall offers fried crab legs (you can get the clusters fried or get them fried without the shell). I bought them both ways. YES I said SHRIMP MAC AND CHEESE!!The food is throughly seasoned!!! When I cracked opened my crab legs, the chunks of crab meat on the INSIDE tasted WONDERFULLY SEASONED. I need the secret. A bit of a language barrier with the server, as far as ordering food, but it came out quick and hot for standard midday breakfast fare. I had the Whiting and I tried the banana pudding… I definitely didn’t like the banana pudding. The vegetable tempura was very nice and not greasy. Our entrees were good but I really wished the spring rolls were made in house, these were the standard frozen ones. I needed fish for an event and they were helpful over the phone, assured me they had it in stock, and when I arrived they quickly handled my requests.
