I picked up some fish from Tru Soul Food today, 8/14, around 11:00 AM, and I have to give credit where credit is due! Whoever was in the kitchen frying that fish has some serious talent and incredible potential. I truly hope they continue taking their craft seriously because that fish was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life! The flavor, the quality, and the overall experience were absolutely amazing. 10/10 — no hesitation! 🙌🏽

I would recommend the fish to anyone without a second thought. If you visit Tru Soul Food, do yourself a favor and give it a try. That fish alone is worth talking about!

As for the sides, I’d rate them a 6/10. They have some room for improvement, but the fish is definitely the star of the show.

“This is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in town. They are one of the only few that serve my favorite dish which is snow peas and shrimp. And they are very affordable. Also my husband always gets the hibachi steak and I got to say they have the best steak as well. It's more like pieces of ribeye versus the thin pieces of beef that you get anywhere else. Lastly the people that work there are as nice as they could be. When I was there one evening picking up my food I went to leave and needed a jump to be able to start my car. And even though we couldn't figure out how to get to his battery he was still more than willing to give me a hand.“
