“My wife and I took our son and his family out for a nice dinner at another fine local restaurant for his birthday. When we finished our meal we asked our son and his wife about dessert and they both said they wanted Peanut Butter Pie from Village Tavern. My wife and I were in the mood for cheesecake so ordered the Double Layer cheesecake. We called in our dessert order, I picked it up, and we went to our son’s house to relax and enjoy our desserts. We were not dissatisfied! The desserts were delicious and the portions were huge.“

“After having some difficulty with my usual bowling alley. I found myself in Winston randomly with a two hour window between obligations. I scrolled into northside lanes and met Caleb at the front desk. Who gave me one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a bowling alley. From a warm greeting to exceptional knowledge, I ended up buying a bowling ball here instead of my usual shop. 10 out of 10 recommend this bowling alley for both casual and professional play. “This Japanese restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. I was impressed by how clean and organized everything was, as well as the great service.

The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh and delicious, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The prices also feel very fair for the quality you receive.

The only downside was that the dining room was a little too cold. The air conditioning was so strong that it almost felt like sitting in a refrigerator. A slightly warmer temperature would have made the experience even better.

We first discovered the restaurant through a pickup order, and this was already our second visit in one month. We’ve definitely become regular customers and will be coming back again.“

“Kimono’s is my favorite Japanese place around. My go-to is spicy teriyaki steak with udon noodles and zucchini. It really doesn’t get much better.

The staff is always a treat as well, they are always very welcoming!

“Very quaint little bakery, very historic, I bought the lemon cookies which were expensive but all of the proceeds go to keeping the town going so it was worth it. I bought a jam that was called Toe jam that should be interesting it has elderberry in it. The whole downtown Old Salem it's just a place everyone should visit.“
