The Tavern was a really neat experience. The wait was a little long, but the food was absolutely well worth it. To start, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very authentic and fun. It was lit with candlelight, there were fiddlers moving about the different dining rooms, and the tables and dining settings appear as if to be from that era. I was having a very poor experience from the 2 hr wait and then a couple run ins but the manager Rick Took care of all our needs. We finally got seated and we enjoyed our first experience at the best restaurant in Winston Salem. The food is amazing. Thank you Rick for correcting my visit the day after Thanksgiving. You guys rock.

Salad with the apple butter vinegrette dressing. And fresh bread along with the club sandwhich. Wonderful ambience and great food presentation for the historic period. If ypu can't get to colonial Williamsburg this will do nicely.
