Great food, service and ambiance.
Lee is great!
The service is good and the atmosphere is fine, but for the price you pay, the food does not meet the expectation. One thing for sure is that this is definitely not a place to get an awesome steak. It said pan seared steak however there was absolutely no sear on the steak. It was almost like it was cooked with a liquid in the pan and it was not tender at all. Perhaps that is a method. Customers celebrate special occasions here, enjoying the lovely waitstaff and detailed food descriptions.
The mussels starter with amazing sauce is highly recommended, with extra sauce available to take home. Despite its quiet ambiance, Meridian is a high-quality restaurant with ample reserved parking. The scallops, NY strip, and shrimp dishes are excellent, though scallop portions could be larger. The food, service, and atmosphere at Meridian are top notch, making it a memorable dining experience. Guests have noted that the bread pudding for dessert is amazing and look forward to trying more of the Chef’s food on their next visit. Overall, Meridian is worth returning to in Winston-Salem.
