It's possibly the best ruben I have ever eaten. Good ammount of corned beef and sauerkraut. Light on the sauce. Cheese was well melted. And to finish it up, the panini grilled bread was not greasy.Order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Pepsi bottled drinks in a cooler.
Four of us met in Old Salem with a plan to lunch at Muddy Creek Cafe. Old Salem was very busy and so was MCC, I really wondered if we should bail. We got in line and ordered in just a few minutes. Got lucky with a table for 4 inside with some live music! They give you a number to display at your table. The food came out faster than expected, maybe 10mins. We all enjoyed the food and overall experience. Great spot to recharge in Old Salem!

Nothing gourmet or particularly inspired here, but Muddy Creek Cafe seems to be the only eatery inside Old Salem. It's a good place to stop and refresh when touring the museums. They have tasty sandwiches, salads, assorted nibbles, soft drinks, and desserts. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table when it's ready.
