“Amazing food. Extensive menu but I have a hard time not ordering their street tacos.

I saw one review talked about them being slow. Thats a good thing. Its slower because everything is pretty much cooked to order so I always know its gonna be completely fresh, not meat that has been sitting on the line for hours.

And it is worth the wait. Also super nice people from all my interactions (and I am there usually at least 1x every week).

And not that it appeals to everybody but they offer more authentic variations for the tacos like tripa and lengua.“

“Don’t let the outside scare you! This is a decent authentic Mexican restaurant. We only had American style tacos asada and gorditas asada so I don’t feel like I can completely rate their food but what we had was good. My daughter loved the tacos. My gordita was good, not the best I’ve ever had but still good. “We discovered this restaurant during a recent stay with friends at High Rock Lake. Delicious grilled shrimp and scallops! Portion sizes were large and prices were reasonable. Very fresh tossed salad with homemade dressing. We will definitely eat here again on our next visit.“

I ordered a Beef Taco Salad — the meat was okay but tasted a bit overcooked. The Chicken Fajitas had a regular flavor, nothing too special, but the Horchata drink was excellent! 🌟 My only disappointment was the tortillas that came with the fajitas — they tasted a bit sour, like they’d been warmed in the microwave. Service was decent, overall experience fair. I’d still come back to give them another try soon. 👍🇲🇽“

“Great Chinese takeout spot! The food was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. My order was ready quickly, and everything was neatly packaged. The sesame chicken and lo mein were especially tasty. “I moved from NY so I’ve been spoiled in my Chinese food but China City is true to their “NY Style”. We have consistently ordered from them over the past 4 years and they’ve never disappointed. They don’t have a few NY items due to lack of demand but everything else has been good, and trust me when I say we have worked our way through the menu. I’m admittedly not a fan of the hot and sour soup, although I am very particular to it so to each their own. The brown gravy is peanut infused, different from what I’m used to from NY, but I’ve gotten used to it. Whenever we have NY guests we always order the steamed dumplings and they get wiped out immediately- best item on the menu!“
