“Excellent and friendly service. A very quaint spot with a horseshoe bar. The tables are close-set suggesting a family atmosphere. The buffalo cauliflower was a great start to our meal. The eggplant was delicious. It had crunch and just enough cheese. The sauce was thick and clinged to the pasta. Their sausage was very flavorful. My wife enjoyed her Linguine Pescatore and commented on the home-made taste of the linguine. The Tiramisu was the only disappointment and the Crème brûlée was 86 at 8:00 pm. The menu is extensive and we'll return to sample more. Many pizzas were being had at the surrounding tables - I'll have to give it a try too. Our bill was $89, with tip, but we sampled a lot since it was our first time.“
“So it was our first time at the market and we were welcomed and given samples, they made us feel as if we had been friends for A long time and everything we tasted was excellent! Thanks to all that I listed above we left with $100 worth of incredible dishes to try for dinner! Keep up the great customer service and food and we will For sure be back! Thank You!“

“After having spent some travel time in Northern Italy, I wasn't really expecting to find this caliber of Italian cuisine in Greensboro. This place is not your typical Italian-American spaghetti & meatballs joint. The chef has serious culinary chops equal to the best authentic Italian top-end restaurants in any major city! Ambience is busy but cozy, especially in the booths by the bar...more quiet for dinner conversation! Service was top tier--Ashley was busy at the bar but was still super attentive & very friendly and made us feel at home as first timers! Like having dinner at a friend's house who just happens to throw down first-class Italian cuisine. The chef, with Sicilian roots I was told, stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was great. Superb is a better description!!! Last time I had tagliatelle Bolognese this great was in Bologna...and my date's fettuccine Alfredo was very close to Alfredo's in Roma--with primarily a Parmigiano-Reggiano emulsion made with butter & starchy pasta water--not a gloppy heavy cream sauce most often found posing as Alfredo in the USA. Salvino's is definitely now in our rotation of top Greensboro restaurants. Refreshing to find authentic Italian in N.C.“

“As a Peruvian I approve! Lomo saltado and ceviche are delicious. My father visits from N.Y. and always wants to eat here. Service and food are consistent, hidden gem! I would love to see them expand to a bigger space with music. I love how the staff wears all black button-tops looking sharp and classy. A fave for sure!“

“There was a time the kids and I were regular visitors of Vito's. It was close to my house when the kids were staying over and the food was relatively good and fairly priced. What I always liked about the place and still do today, is that it is family owned and operated, which is a rarity today, and therefore, should be supported! It was one of the reasons I went there quite often with the kids. Many a meal I dined at Vito's with a dine-a-mate coupon, which the kids never quite understood, but they weren't paying the bill! Now they are dine-a-mate/groupon specialists!! I have a bittersweet memory of taking my step-father there with the family when he was already stage four cancer. He could only swallow soup and none of us enjoyed the meal due to sad circumstances and some dishes that seemed bland, and so, we did not go back for several years. And yet, every time I go to Food Lion at Cornwallis Shopping Center, there is Vito's, calling me back! Ritorno!! A couple of months ago, the kids and I decided to give Vito's another shot and we enjoyed it. We all had the standard stuff...pasta, chicken parm, baked ziti, etc. Portions were nice sized, and considering how expensive things are right now, I found the menu prices to be fair. The best part of the meal was the kids and I planning out our next international trip...this one will be to Costa Rica. I stopped by Vito's last week to get a chicken parm hero. It was a little dry and needed more marinara and felt expensive for a sandwich. Maybe I should have gotten the meal? For this reason and others, I am giving them a four star rather than five. Everything is good, but nothing is great. Can't quite put my finger on it, but when I leave there there is still a feeling if, "It was good, but"" or "Maybe I should have gone to Elizabeth's on Lawndale or Mediterraneo on Pisgah Church or Positano on Lawndale." With that being said, Vito's is a staple in Greensboro and a survivor, and a favorite amongst many, They have excellent specials, great price on a pizza special and I am always a big fan of family operated businesses. Easy to find, easy to park and a cool old fashioned family vibe inside with bar, pastries and take-out. I'll be back, I always come back to Vito's. They were around when my kids were young and dine-a-mates were a staple in my family and they will probably be around when my kids bring me there with my walker! Head to Vito's for a glass of wine, some Italian bread, a good pasta meal or baked dish and a cannoli. Ciao!!“

“We've eaten here twice - subs the first time and pizza the second time. Both times we got excellent quality including fresh ingredients, homemade dough, and large portions. The pizza is 2-3 levels above their nearest competitor (NYP). Highly recommend you try it. Their prices are very competitive for the UNCG area. We'll definitely be going to Slices again!!“

“Decided to go for dinner. Haven't been in a few years. Had fried mozzarella as app. Really good. I had flat bread and my wife had Chicken Parmesan. Both were very good. We had Strawberry shortcake for dessert. Service was good too.“

“Food was delicious. They accommodated a seafood shellfish allergy. It was very loud in there, but everybody was having a great time. The only negative I would say is it was very hot and stuffy inside. The cocktails were also very delicious. I would totally recommend this place.“

“Our service was amazing! As well as our food, I started with the fire cracker shrimp and it was wonderful. I then got the Cajun Pasta with chicken, shrimp, and sausage it was out of this world. Staff was extremely friendly and the whole restaurant seemed to be in great spirits. Couldn't recommend it more!“

“A pizza that tastes like a Big Mac, topped with lettuce and tomato after baking. Nice flavor and interesting but very sweet and rich. I would have preferred it as a slice off of a buffet rather than my entire meal. Staff was pleasant and informative. I would definitely go again but try a different pizza.Vegetarian options: Pizza without meat toppings. Sorry if that’s obvious but I didn’t write these questions.Kid-friendliness: Pizza is popular among most children in my experience, obvious, I know.“

“We are in town from Wisconsin visiting our daughter for Thanksgiving. We decided that we wanted pizza on Friday so my daughter suggested NY Pizza, we went to the really crowded one first, didn't feel like waiting for a table so decided to head over to Tate st.. Great decision! It wasn't crowded and the food and the service was excellent.“

“This is hands down the best pizza in the Triad. Their pizza quality is amazing and that they have pork-free meat alternatives is so special and hard to find! The dough, the sauce, the cheese and any toppings are always perfect. And what's more, their calzones are SOOO ridiculously tasty! It's not Dominos pricing because it's not dominos quality -- it's SO much better than that. I'm glad to live within a quick drive so I can pick it up regularly. And every single staff member I've interacted with has always been helpful and nice on the phone and in person.Dietary restrictions: They offer pork-free sausage and pepperoni!! So hard to find!“
