She guided us in menu choices, quantities and table settings. The staff was so efficient in setting up and serving. And the food was delicious ! All of the guests commented to us that the food was exceptional and the service was impeccable. The occasion was sad but the gathering was lovely. We booked Anne for our reception that was initially scheduled for Oct 2024. In Feb 2024, we went to Moments Café for a tasting of Anne's catering options during which she and her staff not only showed their culinary talents but also their intentionality to customize dishes to meet each couple's unique visions for their dinner receptions. What set the experience apart was the pride and love with which Anne's husband told all of us about her passion for food and her strengths as not just a chef, but also a spouse, mother, and community member. The simple takeaway being: this place is more than just a business, and that will be reflected through each plate served and interaction you have with them.
Nowhere was that more apparent than in the wake of Hurricane Helene when floodwaters devastated all of WNC - especially those located along the banks of the Swannanoa River where Anne's business stands. As phone’s eventually became operational, I contacted Anne to check-in. I learned that miraculously, her building was not swept away in the flood; however, like everyone else in the region, she was left without power and running water. What remained though was a gas stove, the uncooked food of multiple canceled receptions and parties (including our own), and the strength of character that we heard about earlier in February.
Standing in at least two inches of water with a headlamp and her stove, Anne sprung into action - cooking all that remaining food and serving it to the first responders and the families that they were rescuing. No tabs, no tips, completely free – because it was the right thing to do for our community.
We eventually had our reception in 2025. Anne and her team prepared some of the best regional barbeque you could imagine. You could book her for the quality of the ingredients and their preparation alone. But you should book her knowing the quality of the person who prepared those ingredients. Rain or shine, on your most joyful day or the days where joy feels nearly extinguished – she shows up for you. Not all heroes wear capes – some wear a headlamp and an apron. I am extremely sensitive to gluten and Anne went above and beyond to ensure every last thing, down to the crackers at cocktail hour were gluten free and safe for me. Our wedding guests gave us so many compliments (including the professional chefs in the bunch). A few of our friends even said it was the best food they'd ever had lol. We all loved her unique flavor combinations and she makes the best grits in the world. I am from the south and my husband's family has lived all over the world, so her diverse menu allowed us to pull together a selection that suited us perfectly. We also visited Anne for our tasting shortly after Helene came through and it was amazing to see her resilience to get back up and running and drive to serve her community. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

It was an enjoyable process from start to finish, from creating a menu to a phone call working out logistics to the delicious food on the day of the wedding. We elected to have fancy barbecue done buffet style and tasty appetizers, and both we and our guests were blown away. In addition to that the servers were so nice a personable. Everything was truly a breeze. I think my face says it all (genuine reaction to getting chicken and their waffles).

We selected Anne's Custom Catering to provide a fabulous in-home dinner for my sister's bachelorette party last weekend, and we are so delighted that we did!! Her food was fantastic! The chicken picatta entree was a hit, and the sweet potato biscuit appetizers were terrific! One of the attendees selected the vegetarian cashew nam prik entree and she was very complimentary as well. The chocolate torte with raspberries adorned cake was delicious and festive for the occasion. Then we ordered blackberry scones and an assortment of coffee breads to have the following morning which were amazing as well.
They were very prompt with all communication, arrived even a few minutes early to deliver the food, and it was all packaged lovely.
I would highly recommend Anne's Custom Catering and will work with them again happily with future needs. Very happy with the experience, 10/10!

All I have to say is WOW! Anne's Custom Catering recently catered a wedding celebration for our daughter, and the food was absolutely delicious! Anne and her team went above & beyond... the appetizers were original recipes, made with fresh ingredients & beautifully presented. The flavors & seasonings of the main dishes (a Southern buffet) were spot on. She wrapped it up with a multi-flavored cupcake tower that was both lovely & delicious - everybody raved about the food. She even made special vegan appetizers, main course entrees & cupcakes for our vegan guests. We highly recommend using Anne's Custom Catering for any event, large or small!

They were so kind, excited to work with my ideas, happily accommodated our dietary requests, were willing to travel the hour to the venue, *and* created an exciting, custom menu for our themed wedding that remained well within our budget. The process from working with Jan in picking selections from the well-crafted menu to the on-site service/presentation was impeccable and impressive.
