Good portions of American cookout food. Feels like a mom and pops restaurant. Food was really good. Definitely could use a remodel as it's looking a bit run down. Friendly staff but when eating I don't think me and my wife saw anyone again. Would eat here again.

I love a good hometown hot dog stand/restaurant so you can imagine my excitement when I found The Hot Dog King. The line was long and the staff was working hard to get everyone's orders out in a timely fashion. The cheese curds hands down was the best part of the meal. The hand cut fries were seasoned and super crispy like I like them. I was disappointed though with the hot dog-they didn't have any taste too them like they had been boiled for hours. I could taste a good flavor with the chili but because the hot dog was so bad it just was not a good compliment. There was good seating inside and easily accessible parking. That's always a plus. The staff was friendly too which is always appreciated.
Always enjoy a good chili dog . Was visiting in the area and checked Yelp and came over to the Hot Dog King. Reminds me of places I grew up going too as a kid lining in Henderson NC. Ordered the 2 chili dog combo. Hot dogs were really good. I like when they wrap the chili dogs. Don't know why just seems to taste better. Fries were steak fries and came out hot. Hot dogs had a great flavor and chili was also very good. Very good prices and nice folks running the establishment. Clean but a little worn but that gives it that family feel. Will return on my next trip.

For a little hot dog restaurant, I've always loved the food, the people, and the local feel. My favorite is a chuckwagon "burger" with cheese and tomato. The onion rings are tremendous. The beef hot dogs are excellent ??. Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Kid-friendliness: Good food for children. Food they'll want more of!

Fries were good and hot and the service was great. The hotdogs were underwhelming. Very small weiners and had been in the water a little too long. The chili kind of bland. I'll probably never eat another hotdog there, but, the next time I am in the area, I may try a burger or chuckwagon.
