Gawd awful coffee - burnt, acrid swill. The food is equally atrocious. I suspect that all the positive reviews are fake. Avoid.

A very nice little coffee shop with breakfast and lunch sandwiches..There is indoor a d outdoor seating...The staff is very friendly and helpful...They also have great desserts and offer local honey and various other items...It's connected with Cheryl's Place which is a very nice thrift store with a small gallery room from local artists...One of my favorite places to stop...

I heard the cafe had really good food from several sources and wanted to try for a while. Had an early morning pick up at the Mtn Home thrift store and was heading to get some breakfast when i realized i was parked right in front of the cafe.Had the croissant breakfast,... perfect. Cafe mocha with a couple extra shots... perfect.Service was as friendly as you could ever want, and the food was exceptional. I can't wait to go back!

Adorable cafe looking out over the local mountains. The best biscuits and gravy I’ve had in a while. My kids loved the blueberry muffin. Other food looks good too! Ice cream coming soon too it seems! Great spot on the edge of town to settle in for a coffee and some remote work.

Lovely staff great food. The sandwiches are delicious.
It's a beautiful place with a beautiful purpose. The pimento BLT is soo good, I got an iced coffee with caramel, white mocha & oat milk, it was really good and great quality coffee. I bought these trendy black sandals and a very very cute fanny pack(3 bucks). I used to live BMH so it was real nice going here for the first time.Vegetarian options: They have a spicy fried chicken that's vegan!

We love Thirteen Pennies! Their chill coffee house atmosphere and delicious food are always a winner. I love their Pimento Bacon sandwich and my wife always gets their Bear Club. We have always had great service when we come here. Today the guy taking our order was mostly helpful but didn't explain things very clearly about what it included with lunch items, up charges, or about their self-service drinks and chips (a $2 up charge with lunch items). One important note is that substituting Gluten Free bread is now a $1 up charge. Still, we will definitely be back!

Wonderful little cafe off the beaten path near Black Mountain. It has a simple menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. It is adjacent to a thrift store, both of which support the Black Mountain Children's Home.
