I use their Sylva location regularly to cater a small group gathering for the past 3+ years. The food is consistently great!!! The staff is very friendly and the online orders I place are correct, rarely if ever missing anything, and neatly packed for travel! I love Big Nicks! I am a regular and I highly recommend them.

When I want BBQ, I don't want something bathed in sauce. To me, that indicates you dried it out and are making up for it. Nicks uses a house made seasoning rub and it is fabulous. If you insist on having BBQ sauce, they have house made options. I have had everything on the menu. All the meats are extremely flavorful and tender. Special items worth mentioning are the brisket mac and cheese and BBQ pimento cheese eggrolls. Seating inside is limited, and there are a couple tables outside.

Found this place by mistake.Staying at the casino in cherokee ordered uber eats best barbecue, at least top three that i've had in my life. I got the brisket. The banana pudding is amazing. I always order more than one. The macaroni and cheese is awesome. My friend that went with me had to pull pork. She said it was good. The sauces are great.I have absolutely nothing negative to say.I will return every time.

This was my first time having BBQ in just under a year now and I could not have been more happy. I have not had this good of BBQ since I was back home in Delaware. It was delicious and homey while not overbearing and the bbq sauce had the perfect sweet and tangy flavor. The hush puppies were a perfect pairing for the pulled pork. Highly recommend, probably the best in the area!

We stopped here yesterday after driving through the mountains all day, and let me tell you—we hit the jackpot with this little gem! Absolutely some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Every single thing was delicious. I was celebrating my birthday and had eaten at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant the night before… and honestly, it was horrible. So when we stumbled upon this BBQ spot, I was beyond hungry—and wow, did it deliver! The portions were huge; I couldn’t even finish half my plate. This Florida girl is heading home having had the best BBQ of her life. Great food, great atmosphere, and hands down the BEST BBQ sauce EVER. If you’re anywhere nearby, this place is a must-stop! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Drove 20 miles from where I was staying in Cherokee because I was craving barbecue. I was not disappointed! The brisket was fabulous as were the 2 sides—baked beans and hush puppies. The hush puppies were out of this world! The sauces were also awesome. I topped it off with banana pudding for dessert and left with a full belly and every intention to come back!

Very impressed with this BBQ spot! Excellent customer service as the cashier helped us order so that we got alittle of everything we wanted. They also cared enough to ask us how everything was. I would put this in a top spot for BBQ locations we have visited. Mouth watering brisket, flavorful pulled pork and the turkey was top notch. They have an assortment of house sauces to top it off. Great assortment of delicious sides and don't miss out of the brisket mac n cheese!
