The Farmhouse Mercantile & Coffee Bar

This is a great coffee bar. There is ample spacious seating in a great vintage setting. There was also an attached store with vintage to antique items for sale. We found a few great items to purchase at a good price.

This is my favorite spot on Main Street. The coffee shop has really good coffee, delicious treats, and a lovely atmosphere. Bought my favorite earrings in the mercantile, too.

Cutest coffee house EVER! We enjoyed a wonderful drip coffee, hot chocolate, and double chocolate muffins. Such a wonderful surprise when you step in the coffee shop and see the beautiful decor!

Wonderful snacks, drinks, and atmosphere. However, perhaps it was the owner's children, but around 2 to 3 little girls were constantly behind the coffee bar today touching EVERYTHING. Consistently using the whipped cream, syrups, ice, and milk and carrying them around the coffee shop after eating their McDonald's lunch, touching the garbage cans, and playing with their noses and mouths. This is surely not following food safety regulations and was rather gross to watch.

The Farmhouse Mercantile & Coffee Bar smelled so good when I walked inside. They had coffee and all kinds of sweet treats. On the other side of the shop they sell farmhouse decor.

My friend, who is a local, brought me here for an afternoon latte. We stood at the counter while the owner and barista were both behind it and there was no acknowledgment that we were even there. No “hello”, no “we’ll be right with you” and we stood there…and stood there…and then the barista moved to the register and stared at us. Wow - I guess they’re not much for customer service. I would’ve left but I wanted my friend to get her coffee. Underwhelmed with both the service & my beverage, which is a shame b/c I really wanted to like this place.

Over priced for mediocre food and SMALL portions.

The best vibe in Sylva. I work down the street and when the days come back, this place gives me zen...and well brewed cup of coffee..and some AMAZING cinnamon rolls.

EDIT: 2 years later...still a total Zen Vibe. Shout out to the Barista who made an epic tasting Heavenly.

Great shop wonderful people , nice merchandise but a little too pricey.
