Stopped to have a look around. Had not been to Todd for a few years. Saw the Mercantile was open so went in. Greeted by the smell of a wood fire. Got a couple cookies and a slice of carrot cake. The young lady working that day was so friendly and helpful. The dessert items were excellent. What a warm and charming place.
Todd mercantile is the place to be. They have a nice selection of in-house baked goods, wine and beer as well as the best chicken salad in the high country. If you are in Todd you gotta check it out.
Todd Mercantile has a lot going on. The first thing you'll see (and smell!) as you walk in the door is the bakery. The scones, muffins, cookies, bear claws, bread...everything I've had from here has been excellent. Next up, a couple of taps for those who would like to enjoy a local beer or cider. Then ramble back into the grocery section for local eggs, produce and all manners of soft drinks. Upstairs peruse some local crafts and a big space for dances. The front porch...
