Saw this restaurant on UNC-TV and had to visit. The ribs are basted with a sweet sauce and very tinder, lima beans, cabbages, yams are well seasoned. The hushpuppies are delightful!!

We were looking for something to eat on our way back from wilmington. Found this place on google. Glad we did. It was not very busy. Service was excellent and friendly. The buffet was great. And we couldnt beat the prices. There wasnt anything that we didnt like. I absolutely loved the fried chicken. Perfectly done and crispy. Our waitress was very nice and on top of our drinks. Definitely give them a try if you are in the area.

This is a buffet only restaurant. Good oI country food, comfort food. I like the fact that the customers and employees are supposed to wear disposable gloves when using the dipping utensils when going through the buffet while getting their food. I usually stay away from buffets such as Golden Coral buffets because there are so many people using the same dipping utensils without gloves. Going through buffets and everybody using the same dipping utensils without gloves is very unsafe and unsanitary. Just think about all the customers that may be carrying a virus, customers that came straight in to the buffet without washing their hands no matter what they had been doing with their hands before they came in. Also, I have seen too many men leave restaurant's bathrooms without washing their hands, no matter where they were emptying their bladders or bowels. My wife says she sees the same thing on restaurant bathrooms also not wash their hands after using the bathrooms. Do you really want to eat at a buffet where customers aren't required to wear gloves after thinking about people's negligenceto wash their hands? I applaud the owners at Sensations for having the disposable gloves for everyone to use going through the buffet!

Ate dinner and when my wife came from rest room she stated a woman that was in rest room stall walked out of rest room and straight to kitchen without using hand wash. Definitely will not return there.

Man we diddnt even know where to go after walking through the maze,their sanitation grade of 83 should have been the warning,but the food looked okay at first glance,we sat down,went to go to make our plates,no silverware,no utensils to get some of the food out onto your plate,chicken cold,ribs diddnt even taste like ribs and the BBQ sauce wasn't barbecuing at all...and whatever gravy was in the hamburger steak and porkchops(oh he11 no,DO NOT EAT)YOU GON SH1T DOWN YO LEG,)the bathroom stall doors diddnt shut,bathrooms was straight JANKY.CLOSE THIS PLACE EXPEDITIOUSLY.

I was so excited to come to eat here after reading about other people’s stories/reviews. I’m pretty certain they were either fake reviews or paid to make a good review.We arrived at 5 pm. The buffet was advertised as a seafood buffet. The “buffet “ should have been fully stocked and piping hot. That was not the case. Minimal food in each pan except for the “mystery slop” that when asking the staff member what it was, she said “I don’t know what it is. The first shift cooked it.” The seafood consisted of tiny shrimp too small to use as bait and one type of fish filets that were full of bones. That hardly classifies as a seafood buffet. They didn’t even have tartar sauce or cocktail sauce on the buffet. They also didn’t have butter on the buffet and I asked the waitress for some and she said give me a minute. Well I never got the butter. She never came back to the table after dropping off our drinks.I’m a Certified Dietary Manager and if I were in charge there I would fire them all and start over. I repeatedly watch them bring out new food and combine it with old food. They actually brought opened tin cans out and dumped it into the pans out there. I really should’ve just turned around and walked out when I seen a sanitation rating of only 86.5. Needless to say I won’t be back and will advise anyone I know not to go there. I only gave 1 star because they don’t allow zero stars or less.
