Was gonna go there....but there was a sign in the window.
Atmosphere was pleasant. Customer Service was one of a kind special. The food was amazing and came out in a timely manner. The prices for the serving you get is great! Would recommend to anyone!
Owner yells at employees right in front of customers. Great wait staff tho
An up and coming breakfast place in Washington, the country steak skillet breakfast is really good, the prices are good, and the staff is nice!
I worked there, owner would'nt pay me. Had his twelve year old daughter in the kitchen cooking, dropped food on the floor, put it in a plate to be served. Owner would go outside to smoke, came back in, never washed his hands before handling food again
We just had breakfast at AJs Diner for the first time and it was very good! You get loads of food for the price and its cooked perfectly. We will definitely be revisiting!
Great food large portions good service
Okay, so the employees were quick to take our orders. It took a bit of time to get our food, but that is probably because we were a group of 6. Upon receiving my lunch, I found it to be one of the best burgers I've had in a long while. I will definitely be going back to this establishment. However, the lack of the fifth star in this review goes to the flies that bugged us whilst we ate . Other than that, there was no issue.
Small diner owned by husband and wife. Husband runs the kitchen and wife runs the front (supposedly). Ordered my food and waited 40 minutes only to find out the cook had locked himself in the office and refused to cook because his wife wasn't in the kitchen with him. When i asked to speak to the manager it took 15 more minutes for her to come out. She gave me a generic excuse after my waitress had already told me what happened. Both husband and wife looked like they hadn't showed in a week. They were both dressed as slobs. I'm actually glad i didn't eat food prepared by the husband. If his personal hygiene is that bad i can only imagine what his kitchen practices were like. Husband actually came out and yelled at his wife in front of customers while she was working. They do not have their sanitary grade posted. Over all this place isn't worth it. One of the worst places I've ever been.
Thought we would give them a try for breakfast, and it was a mistake. Our first warning should have been that we were the only customers at 8:30am on a Friday. I ordered pancakes and my hubby ordered the big breakfast. My two pancakes were huge, but the the top one was burnt on the underside, and the bottom one was raw in the middle. My husband’s over easy eggs were both broken, and his bacon was literally burnt black. I picked around my pancakes and ate the parts that weren’t burnt or raw. My husband sent his bacon back. The manager, (according to her shirt) checked us out. She never asked how our food was or offered any apology, or credit. Don’t waste your money or appetite.

Food is good and priced right. Service is where improvement is needed
The atmosphere is homey and plain but the food is delicious and the staff are pleasant and easy to get along with. Waitresses are very attentive to dinners. I have two breakfast items and two lunches. No complaints on my part. Servings are generous, delicious, and reasonably priced.
Food, service, and price was great.
Love the food and the staff!!
My son like The Byrd sandwich and I recently tried the Patti Melt which was yummy. The fries are good too. Will definitely be going back.
