Bill's Hot Dogs are awesome! The spicy taste has a unique flavor, while the gorgeous toppings are nice & fresh! If you love the old style bottles of soda pop,like me,you will certainly enjoy the Christian flavored atmosphere of friendship & great food! My friends, visit them soon, especially coming up for Spring time & don't forget to take a leisurely slow walk by the picturesque; beautiful waterfront. I so badly wanted to like Bill's Hotdogs as they are Eastern, NC famous! After trying a hotdog with ketchup and the Bill's hotdog (mustard, onions, and chili), I was disappointed. The chili was not like any chili I've had before (seemed to be goop). I understand they're going for nostalgia and simplicity but some other toppings would be nice. I'm glad I gave it a try, but that's about it.

As a local, I have to say these are a niche hotdog and an aquired taste, very unique. It's kinda like they are so bad, they're good! I get a craving like every 2 months. The chili is spicy and depending on the day may be more spicy than other days. They are very cheap red hotdogs but.... the CHILI, OMG... that is what they are known for. It is a white, spicy chili. All the way is chili, onions and mustard. I have friends from out of state that order 20 and take them home and freeze them. You have to be in the mood for them. You have to eat them more than once to aquire the craving. A very local experience. I love them!!

I used to eat at the one downtown often, over 20 years ago. They don't taste as good as back then. If I want a hotdog now I'll cook them myself, or go to a gas station at the end of 15th street that will let you customize them with many different toppings for cheaper.

Worst hot dog I have ever had. Only topping to choose from were onions, mustard and chili. The food actually burned my throat from too much hot sauce or something nasty in the chili.
I came here based on the recommendation of some locals but I am honestly confused by the positive reviews. This was hands down the worst hotdog I have ever had. I bought lunch for myself and a few friends and they were inedible, none of us could even finish them. The buns were tough and stale and the sauce was flavorless, it was literally like eating paste. The hotdogs themselves were shriveled and leathery. I had to douse it all in ketchup to moisten it enough to choke it down. Sadly we don't plan on returning here.

Absolutely the worst hot dog ever. All of our family said the same thing. The chili IS NOT CHILI. It is a soupy mixture of beans with no meat. Afterwards, I spent the trip home finding a toilet several times. BUYER BEWARE.

After reading some of the really good reviews my wife are I were somewhat disappointed with Bill’s hot dogs. The white chili was just ok and I really like slaw on my hot dog which Bill’s did not offer. However we did met some nice local folks while waiting in line who had eaten there many times which was a testament to the loyalty to Bill’s. We concluded we have had much better hotdogs at other places. I do recommend if your In Washington to try Bill’s hot dogs and make your own judgement.
