Love this cafe. Food is great and staff are friendly. Restaurant is clean with clean bathroom. Some out door seating as well. Get here early! They do sell out fast. I love the croissant with spinach and cheese is phenomenal. Coffee and treats as well.

I just had the white chocolate raspberry scone and it was amazing. I can’t wait to come back. Service was fast and quick even though there was only one barista in there!

The owners say you'll get to know them best when you stop in and they are right. I came in with my wife and we both ordered iced mochas. The owner said they had been working on a 20 hour cold brew that reduces the acidity to pretty much nothing. He gave us a free sample and the brew was simply a clean flavor that I don't normally get with coffee. Just a crisp, clean and pure coffee flavor. I added some blue raspberry to the drink and it was simply sensational! My wife added nothing to hers and said the same thing. The baked goods were slim pickings because they had all pretty much sold out earlier. When talking to the owners, they are friendly and very engaging and it isn't hard to tell they love what they do. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

A solid 4.5 stars rounded up! The coffee is truly delicious- and I feel like the bakery is getting its sea legs under it. I’ve been a few different times and today was genuinely the best thus far! They’re clearly working to manage and plan for the demand, and I LOVE the pastry box options (where you can order 7 or 14 pastries for a flat rate). It works well for me as I often buy several treats to bring home and share. The food is really improving and I’ve enjoyed the things I’ve bought. The owner could not be nicer or more engaging and the barista did the cutest job with some latte art- I’m excited to return and try more things!Parking: If you arrive at a great time, there are three fifteen minute spots right behind the cafe! However if it’s a busy day or weekend (we came one time when there was a festival downtown and parking was a NIGHTMARE) it can be rough. I do think the owners are doing there best and I know the issue has more to do with the town of Washington. It’s worth a potential parking headache though!

The experience was awesome. Great service and most important great people. Everyone was very sweet and nice. I will be back. I love there coffee and desserts. I love cheesecake and plan on eating that in my next visit.

Everything was fantastic. A real gem that adds a lot to Washington, NC. It is the best place for baked goods , of course, but also excellent breakfast sandwiches and incredible array of coffee . The Washington Cafe is the only place where you can get specialty coffees that are now so popular, like lattes, cappuccino, etc.PLUS, I had the pleasure of being waited on by Gary. He was outstanding. Gary gave the best customer service I have ever had. He went out of his way to guarantee that everything was perfect, and it was !The Washington Cafe is a wonderful place. You can sit and enjoy your baked goods and other delicious items in a warm, friendly, and cozy atmosphere . A perfect spot for starting the day or at anytime. It is an oasis. The Washington Cafe is a refuge, a respite from all the insanity, pressure, and stress that consumes us more and more every day. A business that gives the community a place of peace and relaxation coupled with great food and drink, topped off by a wonderful staff like Gary !The Washington Cafe provides a place we all need, a safe harbor in today's turbulent times .Washington Cafe126 North Market StreetWashington, NC 27889Review by : Philip FranklinWashington, NC

The selections of food vary and are delicious. They will also be sensitive to special needs. The coffee is good and a variety of teas. In the warmer weather the cold drinks are magical mixtures of fruits and herbs. Many yummy treats.

Very cute coffee shop and cafe I just stopped in for coffee and their bakery case enticed me to get a ginger molasses cookie too. Both were great my Mom just moved to this town so was visiting her for a couple days and exploring. I will be back!!

Kind of hit and miss, unfortunately. I ordered a cortado and I believe it had syrup in it. It was very sweet anyway. I am confused as to why that would be the case with a cortado. The egg and sausage croissant was reheated in the microwave, and this made part of the croissant rock hard (or it was hard already). However the sweet potato and ham biscuit was good when toasted, and the orange roll (a pastry) was good. The staff was very nice.
