Fuego Modern American Cuisine

The food was great. The hot honey checking tacos were amazing, nice combo of sweet and spicy. Generous portion on the tacos, but only served with 6 potato wedges. They were good plain, but there is an upcharge of $2 for bacon or cheese or any other toppings. Meal was pricey at $16.05 for 2 tacos and 6 potato wedges, no drink, but it was super tasty. Also, they stop seating about 15 minutes before closing, so go at least 30 minutes before posted closing times, they don’t cut you any slack there. Atmosphere is pleasant and clean but not outstanding.

We were overwhelmed by this restaurant. The menu had so many fantastic options, it made the choice difficult. We didn’t expect this quality cuisine. We were three couples that were out for an early dinner. All six of our dinners were unbelievably great. The side were on par with the entrees. The service was excellent. Our server was great. She came back 3 times before we could decide on our meal choices. The restaurant is in an older restored home, that is clean, and tastefully decorated.
We all agree, we cannot wait to return. Make sure you try one of the wonderful desserts.

Found this cute place while traveling. Menu has a mix of traditional and upscale dishes. We split an order of Lobster Gnudi in a delightful cheese sauce topped with golden breadcrumbs. Soft, fluffy pillows of delight!
Our second selection was an order of 2 Hot Honey Fried Chicken Tacos. They were served on warm corn tortilla shells piled high with coleslaw and a couple of dill pickle chips drizzled with hot honey. Very spicy and VERY delicious! We also had to try their handcut potato wedges fried in beef tallow and sprinkled with parmesean cheese and truffle oil.

My husband is a picky chef who doesn't like to go out to eat if he can make it better at home, this always has made it difficult to find restaurants we both enjoy in the area. Fuego is the only restaurant we both get excited for, the food is always flavorful and uniquely executed, cooked to perfection and the staff have always been great aswell. Never disappointed here!

Amazing culinary experience. Succulent lobster dawgs, savory Fig/goat cheese salad with some of the best dressing we have ever had. Desserts were perfect. Attentive service and porch is perfect for pups! 10 out of 10!

Have followed this restaurant back when they were a food truck and I love the cuisine Fuego creates

I ordered the ahi tuna tacos. The best fish tacos I've had probably ever! Will hopefully be back soon to try other menu items. My sis and her husband chose this place. They are regulars and I see why. Service is also top tier 😀

Dinner was interesting. We both had the taco salad bowl with steak from the senior menu. Note that the taco salad bowl doesn’t come with a side since it has the rice. The bowl was mostly white rice with veggies, cheese, lettuce, cilantro and shaved steak. I used sour cream as my dressing; SO used the crema dressing which was very tasty. The sweet tea was good (not overly sweet). The surprise was $4 for a small cup of coleslaw (maybe 6/7 bites). Our server was wonderful! Very pleasant and helpful!

Lunch there today, April 15, 2026. It was absolutely amazing, we shared the nachos, birria tacos and fries. They were all absolutely delicious. We loved the atmosphere, and the staff were all super nice and friendly. 10 out 10 would recommend.

Fantastic food. Had a great time with friends. Very lovely spot, and I would highly recommend for anybody in the Waynesville area. Their key lime pie was so delicious, and their beef tallow potato wedges are phenomenal.

Tried this while visiting the area. Ordered for delivery. Ordered a few burgers with potato wedges. Food arrived still hot. Wedges were still crispy and not at all soggy. Flavor was on point! Portions were generous. Fantastic!

Went above and beyond to fix issues with my order that were caused by door dasher. Owner/Manager called me in person to rectify a situation that wasn't her resturaunts fault but she was willing to refund everything even though. Excellent food and excellent customer service! Thank you so much 💓
