Everyone here is so nice and the service is always great! The food is amazing! I’ve never had a bad meal here. My favorite is the Southern Fried Chicken dinner, but a close second is the BBQ bacon chicken. I usually get a salad with homemade ranch and a loaded baked potato. It is well worth the extra couple of dollars. All the things I’ve ever tried have been great and I can recommend the hamburger steak, the patty melt, the best fried chicken sandwich, fried shrimp, the southern fried chicken, bbq baked chicken, the pulled pork sandwich, hash brown casserole. I usually enjoy about 3 glasses of unsweetened tea and they will even make me a cup togo. The portions are a nice size and I always have leftovers to enjoy the next day. Tonight Lindsay was our server and made us feel so special!! Emma was training and was great also. We always have great service!! Riley and Kenzie have been our servers before on our many trips and were great also as well as everyone else whose names I can’t remember(sorry).

We love going there for breakfast! One of the best breakfast in town. The food is delicious and the staff are always pleasant. Last time we went there our waitress Sydney was excellent and very attentive! Highly recommend to locals or anyone passing through.

I returned to the Hwy 209 cafe, today and was very pleased that, this time everything was back to it wonderful self. Everything and everyone seemed to be back to the wonderful place I had come to expect. Wonderful food and service.
The 209 Haywood Cafe is amazing! Their gravy biscuits are to die for – so flavorful and comforting. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect spot for breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend!
Haywood 209 Cafe’ is one of our go to spots in the Waynesville, Junaluska area. It’s a no frills clean good cooking kind of place when you just want something to eat. Wife and I love it.
A very pleasant surprise. I stopped for gas and decided to eat here as well and was treated to one of the best slabs of Meatloaf I've ever had from a restaurant. I would have stopped by on my way home too were I-40 not closed from Helene.

I stopped in on the way back from NC family reunion “ near Hickory NC” I remember how good it was in the 90.s and 2000 time frame “ I used to to deliver there “ I ordered my favorite Biscuit “ Livermush Egg Cheese and Tomato “ . Omg it was so good “ haven’t had one in years” It’s even better there” than before but before was ausome as well” Great place Ausome Friendly people “ Thank you Guys and sweet Gals who waited on me” It’s a must place to visit””???

We stopped on our way through and it was a great decision! I had the steak tips, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese. We all really enjoyed our food! Don't let the fact that it is connected to a gas station deter you! It is EXCELLENT.
