I’ve been here multiple times and each time I wait longer. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you want hot food, any type of decent customer service, or fast service. I waited in line with one car in front of me in the drive thru for over 15 mins with two kids who weren’t happy bc of sitting so I parked and went in with them to only wait even longer. When I finally received my pizza I asked for a receipt, the time on it was what I assume was when it was made, which was almost 20 minutes before I asked for it to be ready by, making it almost an hour sitting there before I received it; makes sense for it being luke warm. I usually don’t leave reviews but in doing so, I hope to let them know what they can improve or at least make others aware so they’re not in my situation.

Disappointing Experience at Waynesville Papa John’s
I’ve had good experiences with Papa John’s at other locations, but unfortunately, the Waynesville store doesn’t measure up. The customer service was poor and there was clear miscommunication that led to my order being incorrect. Most notably, I ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta, and they forgot the pasta noodles—how does that even happen?
It was a frustrating experience, and the lack of attention to basic order accuracy is unacceptable.
For a $93.00 order it was like throwing money in the trash which will not happen again at this place. The quality of all our items was horrible.
Sadly, this visit was on par with the kind of service I’ve come to expect around town—uninspired and careless. If you’re craving Papa John’s, I’d recommend trying a different location.

Ah, Papa John’s. The pizza that makes you feel like you’re at a party in your mouth, but it’s a party where your taste buds forgot to bring the snacks.
Let’s talk about the crust first. It’s like the pizza equivalent of that one friend who always brings chips to a potluck — reliable, but kinda basic. It’s not terrible, but it's not winning any awards. In fact, I think the crust might be the most humble part of the pizza. If it had a self-help book, it’d be titled How to Be Solid, But Not Too Showy.
Now, the sauce. I can’t help but wonder if it’s a secret recipe that’s been passed down through generations… of marketing teams. It’s tangy, it’s zesty, it’s like a punch in the face but in a good way, like getting an unsolicited high five from your grandma.
The cheese? Oh, the cheese. It’s like the glue that holds your life together — stretchy, melty, and with a surprising amount of staying power. You know, like when you tell yourself you’re only going to have one slice, but then somehow you're standing in front of the fridge at 2 AM, holding a pizza slice like it’s your last meal before a zombie apocalypse.
And then we come to the toppings. If you ordered anything other than pepperoni, congratulations, you’ve just entered a land of random topping choices that feel like they’re chosen by a pizza-obsessed game show host. Pineapple on pizza? Sure. Green peppers? Why not. Sausage? A classic. But do we really need four kinds of meat, or did Papa just think, “More is better!” and now we have enough protein to fuel an entire football team?
But the real game-changer is the garlic butter dipping sauce. This is the sauce that has you reconsidering your life choices. You’re dipping your crust in it, and suddenly you’re not just eating pizza anymore — you’re participating in an experience. It’s like the VIP pass to a flavor festival you didn’t even know you needed.
All in all, Papa John’s is pizza that will fill you up, make you question your life choices, and leave you happily wiping garlic butter off your chin. Five stars, would definitely overeat again.

This is ridiculous!!!! We ordered 2 pizzas at 10:00 when they close at 11:00. We have clear directions because we are staying in a campsite. We even said to call when they get here. No body called and we seen them ride around and they ignored us. We were flashing our porch lights and standing there waving. That was a $50 order. They have terrible service. Do not order from here.
Online ordering was easy, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The pizza was hot and delicious!

Who would I reach out to about an issue with getting change from a delivery driver? I paid for my order with cash tonight. The smallest bills I had were $20s. I figured a delivery driver taking cash for orders of all people would have change for a $20. I was wrong, or at least that is what my driver claimed so he got a near 50% tip . I hate to whine but it takes me 40 minutes to earn the ‘tip’ I ‘gave’ him. If I knew I would be forced to tip that amount I would have just drove 2 miles into town and got the pizza myself. Sure, it would have taken 15 minutes but that’s far better than paying my wages for 40minutes to have it delivered ESPECIALLY when you were forced to pay that.(If you are curious now I was forced to pay that, my bill was slightly over $20. So I brought out two 20s. If I gave one 20 I would have been short on my bill. Hence I had to give him both and just take the change he claimed to have on hand) If your delivery drivers don’t have change, fine, state such so those of use paying know to have exact change for our pizza+tip.

Love love love the pizza bowl. My husband is diabetic he can't have the crust but wants toppings. This is perfect. Staff is super friendly all the time.

I didn't care for the food. It wasn't a normal Papa John's quality. My opinion the hygiene wasn't the best for the guy at the register.

Now I remember why I stopped going to Papa John's. Walk in the order of pizza; they've got a complete menu but they have no prices listed.
You don't know what you're paying until they ring it up. No thanks, I'll pass!

The manager at this location does not deserve to have a job that deals with the public. He needs a lesson in customer service.

Ordered two large pizzas, one cheese and one works. My works I added jalapeños, which cost $2 extra. Order totaled $50.97. Went to pick it up, paid and asked for extra garlic sauce. Tipped them $5. Waited almost 20 more minutes, no problem. They brought me the pizzas, I asked one more time, can I have extra dipping sauce. He told me it’s in the box. So I left and went home(25 minutes away). When I got home there was no dipping sauce, AND the pizza had no jalapeños. Won’t be going back unless they can straighten out there management team.

Just an FYI, there has been a recent management change, and I, the new gm, am very customer oriented. If you're respectful, I'll bend over backwards to help you. Come by, say hi, and let me WoW you! You'll be amazed.

Expected delivery was about 45 minutes. Didn't get our order until almost 1.5 hours later. Food was lukewarm and we ordered extra garlic dipping sauce but did not receive it. Delivery driver was very nice though.
